Saved Our Puppy's Life
My girlfriend and I got our first puppy together three weeks ago. After our first vet visit, he vet handed us a brochure for Trupanion and strongly encouraged us to take a look. We ended up signing up, paying nothing, and Trupanion gave us 30 days of coverage for free. What a great backup plan, until it became vital. Last week our puppy started vomiting so we took her back to our primary vet. After ultrasounds, x-rays, medications, etc, the bill came out to $1,400, Trupanion paid their 90% and saved us over $1000. The ultra-sound reviled blockages in her small intestine which called for immediate surgery. Upon arriving to the ER vet, we were given an estimate of $11,000. The vet wanted an $8,000 down payment before they did anything. So we called Trupanion and sure enough they paid the vet on the spot, before any surgery had taken place. Trupanion has saved us almost $10,000 in vet bills and we hadn't given them a dime. And you better believe they just earned a lifelong customer, they truly just saved our puppy's life. I hope you read this and consider Trupanion before you are faced with a similar issue.

What can I say- best decision ever
What can I say? Trupanion- you were there for me and my dog in and emergency- covered what was promised on a dog breed notorious for the emergent condition. Within 6 min, my estimate was approved. I could worry about my dog without worrying about finances. Invoice/estimate for spine surgery was 10k. I paid 1500 out the door. Choosing Trupanion for my pets insurance? Best. Decision.
