I bought insurance from MetLife for my…dog
I bought insurance from MetLife for my 8 months old dog. My dog has a tendency to chew my furnitures which most puppies do. The first time he got sick I took him to the emergency Vet I was charge for more than $800.00. So I bought the MetLife insurance hoping that if he get sick again my insurance will foot some of my dog medical bills. When my dog got sick again, MetLife denied my claim stating that “My dog has a pre-existing condition”. So what good is the insurance for? I feel like I’m being scammed. My advice is to buy insurance for your pet, but stay away from MetLife. I’m expecting a response the same as everyone else fom them a cut and paste.

Great Service and Reimbursement!
We give Spot two paws up! The website made it clear what was needed to file a claim, our claims were processed quickly, and the reimbursement for both an emergency visit and illness visit were fair. We have not experienced this level of service with other pet insurance companies, so we recommend going with Spot!

Claims frequently not covered when they are supposed to be! Fraud!
I have their horse insurance. They’re AWFUL. July 2023 I had to take my horse to a university hospital after our mobile vet was unable to determine the cause of my horse’s intermittent lameness. In the report from the university, it was only NOTED that navicular was SUSPECTED AND RULED OUT. Because they CLEARLY use a system that only flags for key words, I appealed their refusal to cover my horse’s vet bills. HE BRUISED HIS HEELS IT WAS PROVEN IT WAS NOT NAVICULAR!! I got NO RESPONSE from these id1ots but they raised my rate $20 for the next cycle 🤬 this is absolutely a waste of my money.

The claim process is very easy. Pumpkin always sends email updates and let's me know they received my claim. They promptly process my claims. Whenever I have a question, customer service is very helpful. You get to talk to a real person.!

Terrible experience
Terrible experience. My dog had surgery for a spindle cell sarcoma and they declined my claim because she has had 2 small skin tags in the past one resolved without treatment and the other is on her eyelid, very common and has not changed in 3 years. Due to small skin tags they are saying she had a preexisting condition. I am a physician I know this is ridiculous skin tags are common and are totally unrelated to the spindle cell sarcoma that was found and removed within 2 weeks. I am forced to give one star to post that they dont deserve even that.

I was setting my account up online and I noticed that you can call if your military for a potential discount. I had the pleasure of speaking to Rebecca she helped me every step of the way and made everything extremely easy.
