We have a five month old puppy and had a couple of very big claims. Spot Pet Insurance was unbelievable took care of the situation and reimbursed extremely fast. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for pet insurance.

RUN FAR. RUN FAST. READ THE FINE PRINT. This insurance DOESN'T COVER BILATERAL CRUCIATE EVENTS. I missed this in reading all the fine print. My dog blew his first cruciate during the waiting period so the second surgery was not covered. There ARE insurance companies that DO cover cruciate surgeries. Make sure you find one. Also, during the claim my vet sent the records TWICE and the company never received them. I had to upload the paperwork myself. My premium went up without notification. The process of evaluation took too long. Yes, NOT a good investment. I tried to cancel the coverage online and can't find the spot in which to do so.

seizures galore
Over a period of 1 year & 1/2 our cat had multiple seizures and eventually wasted away because he would not eat. The last few weeks of his life were with a feeding tube. Trupanion never questioned the procedures used ,and they were many, and their online payment system made paying simple and trouble free. I had chosen Trupanion specifically because there was no limit to their insurance with a very reasonable premium. Other companies no limit policies cost 3 times as much.
warn others to avoid this horrible company metlife.....
i am living in hell with them....my dog has a pre existing condition so i can not go elsewhere they take 9 to 12 weeks to pay out a claim....but you need to submit it many many times they lose mail...email.... overnight mail..... all the time

Don’t buy aspca insurance
At first it was ok. My policy says 80-90% return back. last few claims I’ve received about 40% back they have every excuse mostly they say customary charges. But I’ve been to a few different vets and they say they all charge to much so they can’t pay me. So I reported them through a complaint.

Metlife for Pets insurance is absolutely useless,bordering on criminal.
Metlife for Pets insurance is absolute garbage,they are a bunch of inept operators and fraudulent insurers.We have had Pet Insurance for our pets for several years and recently we were misled into switching to them,worst mistake ever! Every single claim we have made to Metlife for Pets was automatically denied,they setup dozens of troublesome and time consuming knots and loops.Even on a claim for $150!!! We are exhausted and very aggravated with the whole experience of dealing with them,my wife was on the phone for 5 hours on one instance,made dozens of calls and e-mails,they throw you in a laberinth of dead ends and never ending freefalls,call center staff seem mentally challenged and uneducated,they demand Veterinarian notes,and records since my pets were born,they lose Veterinarian files and reports,erroneously assign wrong claimants,asking for uninvolved pet’s health records.Basically they over promise and under deliver their benefits,overstate the ease of filing claims( these guys are worse than the IRS).We are disgusted and dissatisfied with everything about them,fortunately we terminated our policies after a few months after we initiated them,we are going back to our prior insurer.
