All they do is burn you down until you give up trying to get reimbursed for your claim and vet bills. I could have saved the $28,000+ paid into my Fetch plan and used it for the $10,000 in bills I paid out of pocket for worthless insurance. I think I've only got $364 reimbursed so far. Our Dog developed a immune deficiency disorder that has been paid for out-of-pocket over the last several years. We have also kept up on all her wellness visits, shots, and accidents she has gotten into over the years,

Spot Pet Insurance Disallows Legitimate Claims
In your review of Spot Pet Insurance, you mention pre-existing conditions. We have had two claims disallowed due to definitions by Spot which have no clinical basis. The first occurred following dental procedures on our Sheltie. Her mouth is too small for all teeth and some were extracted. Spot disallowed the claim because, during a previous exam the vet noted in the medical record that the dog had a grade one dental condition - meaning there was tartar on the teeth. Spot said grade 1 indicated "severe dental disease" and disallowed the claim. Grade one is on a scale of 1-4. Spot has failed to provide their scoring algorithms. The second denial was again based on Spot's definition of a pre-existing condition. Thirty months ago, our Sheltie had an adverse reaction of the skin to a conditioner used following shampoo during grooming. Subsequently, we have instructed groomers not to use any conditioning products and there have been no issues. Earlier this month the same dog was treated for an ear infection. Spot disallowed the claim due to pre-existing conditions. Despite no entry in the medical record to support their decision, Spot determined that the ear infection was caused by the same "allergies" that caused the skin reaction thirty months ago. I believe this is a fraudulent way to avoid paying claims. Please add this practice to the "Cons" of Spot Pet Insurance.

Don't bother, save your money
Pointless. I had embrace for a year and every claim took at least 1 to 2 months to process, where it would be denied because of pre-existing conditions regardless of what the claim was for. My female dog's 7 different claims have been declined either because issues not covered outside of wellness, or because of her pre-existing condition of having had an ear infection 2 years ago. The most recent one being AN EAR INJURY being declined because of this ear infection from 2 years ago. That's like declining a claim for someone's broken wrist because they have psoriasis. My male dog, stung by a bee, scraped the skin on one of his toes, and pulled a muscle playing. The bee sting and muscle pull were declined stating that they were only covered under wellness plans, the skin scrape has been under review since March - I assume so they can figure out how to blame it on his one pre-existing condition of bad gums. Just another insurance scam company, they got a couple thousand dollars out of me and in return I got absolutely nothing. Don't bother with this company, put aside the money you were going to pay them into a long-term savings account. You'll save yourself some money and headaches. It's bad enough that insurance companies go above and beyond to screw over customers, it's absolutely vile that they'd do it to our pets too.

Not impressed so far
I didn't have a great experience with the claim processing. It was hard to get all the medical records in and the submission process was handled in an automated way (i.e. lacking any personalization or sense that a person was on the other side).
