I bought both the illness/injury and wellness coverage. The cost is $76 a month. So far, very little has been covered. The initial wellness visit was about $300, and Fetch reimbursed about $100. I had to go back to the vet for a second round of vaccinations, and that $140 was not covered at all. With this lack of coverage, I did some research on Fetch and found many unhappy customers. I will try another insurance.

15 Years of Great Coverage on 2 Very Ill Dogs
I've had Trupanion coverage on five dogs over 15 years. This year I lost my two elderly fur babies. Both dogs had expensive medical care in their latter years. Rhett had two knee replacements and was diagnosed with atypical Cushings and a heart murmur. He saw a cardiologist and internal medicine specialist in addition to his regular vet. Colt had an opthalmologist (he became blind at age six), a cardiologist, an internal medicine specialist and, in the end, an oncologist after lymphoma diagnosis. Both had the best of care due to Trupanion's coverage and miraculously lived to be over 14. Trupanion pays quickly and the rare times I've asked for a reevaluation on a denied claim, it was either paid or I understood why it wasn't covered. I highly recommend them! I wish rates didn't have to go up, but the vet bills can be gigantic and paid off for me in the many, many tens of thousand dollars I was reimbursed.

Not worth it in the slightest
I switched to Spot Pet Insurance from Lemonade due to horrible customer service issues at Lemonade. At least Lemonade actually reimbursed (usually in less than 48hrs) you decently for preventative care. My dog just had a $400 vet visit, including flea/heartworm preventative, bloodwork & a couple updates on her vaccines. I was reimbursed LESS THAN HALF of the bill (& it took nearly a week via direct deposit, WTH?!). This company is as bad as human insurance companies...they don't care that we're trying to keep our pets healthy, they are crisis care if even that much.

In the full year I've been with them I…
In the full year I've been with them I placed 4 claims. They covered 0 of expenses, every time apologizing and saying they can't cover pre-existing conditions such as...wait for it...diarrhea. Only to then call Diarrhea the most common symptom for almost any and all problems dog might have. Last time was less than 2 weeks ago (around 5/13/2024) when I took one of my dogs to an ER service because a) explosive diarrhea out of the blue, b) dehydrated and panting and c) extreme abdominal pain. The diagnosis after paying $1200 was gastroenteritis which is guess what...evidenced by the swelling of the colon and wait for it...diarrhea. So they can't cover anything. Not even the xrays they took to discard obstructions. Not even the lab tests. But they do want me to renew with them so they can get another 1K from me next year. Insane. Awful.
