Worst insurance ever
Purchased a policy on 11/30/2025, submitted two claims on 12/17/2025, and received a denial stating, "Medical and illness coverage is available 14 days after the Policy Effective Date." The symptoms of the condition being claimed began before the policy's effective date and are not covered." That is untrue since the visit was 17 days after the policy's starting date! Beware! Absolute scam!!

They made the process simple and easy
They made the process simple and easy. I was with nationwide pet insurance sometime ago, and I had it for years. Then found out they basically were going out of business so I had to switch. I was so happy to find out that they're back up and running again.

Incompetent & Terrible Company
What a completely incompetent & terrible company. I will be filing a complaint with the insurance commissioner in my state. Their website is non-functional for submitting claims - keep getting error messages when trying to update a claim. Request for updating a claim is unclear and I believe fraudulent for not processing the claim in the first place Chat has been disabled because of high volume - gee wonder why that is!? Save your time and go with Healthy Paws - they are total professionals unlike these clowns

Trupanion’s unwavering support has been a Godsend!
I have two French Bulldogs covered with Trupanion, Hazel Mae and Harvey. Hazel Mae had two mast cell tumors removed and had to go through chemo for a year. She has since had some very scary liver issues that so far have been treatable. All of these claims have been processed by simply submitting them through the app. No denials, no surprises and no fighting to get them covered. Without Trupanion’s support, it would have been a huge financial burden to getting Hazel Mae the care she needed. With Trupanion’s support, we were able to get an early diagnosis on her cancer and get her the treatment she needed to be cancer free for 6 months now! My husband and I will do everything we can for our babies, even if it means spending every last dime to keep them healthy. Thankfully, Trupanion’s support makes this a much more financially feasible goal.

Excellent service every step of the claims process
They make the claims process about as simple as it can be and resolve claims quickly and very satisfactorily. Also, unlike previous pet insurance companies I've used, they don't cancel the policy or raise the rates to outrageous levels after paying out significant claims.
