Been with Embrace for 8 Years
I switched to Embrace in 2016, after a bad experience with another pet insurer. I have 2 dogs and a cat. I signed up with them initially because their website was very well designed; I was able to find the answers to every question I had. I've stayed with them because they are fair, transparent (meaning the website will tell me if my claim will be covered), prompt, and responsive. I have not had a bad experience with Embrace in all this time. I recommend them to everyone I know with pets.

Unsure about pet insurance
Be warned, your first claim will take FOREVER. I heard from friends that subsequent claims are faster, but that remains to be seen. Much is excluded. I only got insurance in case of a huge unexpected expense. Hopefully that won’t happen but still not convinced that insurance is preferable to just setting aside a pet savings account. I’ll run the numbers at the end of the year & ponder it.

his insurance company basically tries to find an excuse not to pay a claim…
This insurance company basically tries to find all the possible ways not to reimburse you. I provided all documents requested and yet the continued giving me the same answer, worse so they want to label my dog with a pre-existing condition when he doesn't have any. My dog was given to me in January with a clean bill of health by the breeder's vet and in Feb he got sick due to the changing of food and they call it pre-existing condition which is not.

Great so far but would have liked if my email had been answered regarding questions about coverage
So far everything has been great with the app for spot insurance and the company itself. Very easy to navigate and place claims quickly on the app. Also a pretty quick turnaround to get the claim sorted out for my first submission as well. The only recommendation is that if someone sends an email to ask question, a response would be appreciated. Especially if it’s in regards to coverage for my pet. But all in all at the moment I’m pleased with this insurance company for my pet.
