Don’t waste your money
Paid for a policy for the whole year thinking it would be a good idea to have on both animals. Come to find out, If your animal gets sick within 14 days of the policy, you’re SOL. and if there’s any follow up appointments needed, it’s considered a “ pre-existing condition”. MetLife is an absolute SCAM. The only reason they deserve a single star is because of their professional customer service representatives.

My review is in regards to a recent experience. Trupanuon has been very good on paying claims but for my next renewal they raised the rates 54%. I was in shock so I called and asked what the cost would be if I increased my deductible. The costs went down a lot if I increased it by just $50 so I said do it for my next policy period. I check the website today and it was much higher than quoted. I called and they said their reps made a mistake and that the quotes were the costs for the current policy period not the new one. I clearly told the reps it was for the new policy period. They refuse to stand by the quoted provided (I even have them via email). I find this very disturbing especially since 2 reps said the same thing. The supervisor said she is going to see if they can take some money off on the first month but can’t guarantee it. Very disappointed that they won’t stand by what they said. We have been a customer since 2014 and have never had something like this happen.
