Highly recommend spot
I have had spot for three years and really enjoy having this insurance. Ive had a great experience with them and they are fairly prompt on getting the claims processed. Everything is usually finished within a week from start date and they are not finicky with anything! I highly recommend spot.

Fine until your dog needs service
Great plan when you have a young healthy pet that doesn’t need meds, etc but when you start submitting claims, they will double and even triple your premiums. Beware.

As our customer care team member covered in your call, premiums are calculated on a state-by-state basis in accordance with filings that have been approved by state insurance regulators. Your premium amount increase is influenced by two primary factors, the increased age of your pet, and the cost of veterinary care services reflected in the claims paid in your specific state. All pet insurance companies, no matter how they market their benefits, will raise rates to keep up with the rapidly rising cost of veterinary care, including specialty and emergency care. Life Saving Coverage
SPOT paid 80% of our dog’s diagnostics, then surgery when he was diagnosed with colon cancer. That was thousands of dollars we didn’t have. They paid for after care and everything necessary after that. My dog would not be alive today without SPOT.

Never leave home without it!
I have two mini schnauzers insured through Trupanion. I never regret that as both my dogs have had serious issues that Trupanion paid for and continue to do so each month even with their monthly medications. I’ll never have a pet without this insurance!

Amazing
I have 2 older dogs, 14.5 and 12.5 years. The oldest has had many health issues and PetsPlusUs has been great. I submit claims through the portal, periodically they request additional medical records which is reasonable and expected. Claims are always paid out on time. We recommended PetsPlusUs to our daughter for her pet and she has had the same positive experience.
