Pets best was responsive to my claims. They paid out the claim as described in their application and our final contract. Highly recommend Pets Best as a pet insurer.

Unfair policy calculations
I like the customer service and response time. I don't like how faxes don't seem to get there. I find it unfair that even though we our responsible for 100% of the $300 deductible. They take off our percentage PRIOR to calculating the reimbursement rate. Therefore, we end up paying more then the first $300 before getting money back. With a $1000 claim at 70% reimbursementrate, they deducted your reimbursement rate off FIRST ( so 30% off the money we are 100% responsible for). Therefore, making your claim $700 and they reimburse you 70% of that amount. SHOULD BE $1000.00-$300.00 (deductible)- $210 (30% reimbursement rate)= $679 (their 70% after your deductible).

Strongly recommend
I strongly recommend Hartville pet insurance. First of all, read your policy and know what is covered and what isn’t, and then you won’t be disappointed and leaving poor reviews. That said, this insurance has been fantastic for me and my pets. I have had four dogs under policies and yes, it’s a big expense to carry pet insurance, but the knowledge that I never Have to worry about putting one down because I can’t pay a vet bill is worth the price. Hartville saw me through extensive vet, bills for surgery and cancer treatment for a beloved dog, and I trust them with my others. I certainly don’t know of an affordable health insurance for humans that has a $250 deductible! Customer service has always been excellent.

Unfair calculations
Since, we are responsible for 100% of the deductible, then 100% should be taken off our claim PRIOR to calculating our reimbursement. Instead of $1000(claim)- $300(30% reimbursement rate)=$ 700- $300 (deductible) =$400 reimbursement IT SHOULD BE $1000 (claim)-$300(deductible)=$700- $210(30%reimbursement rate) =$490 reimbursement. (where we lose).

Stellar service and communication
I signed up for Many Pets after a friend highly recommended them. I have a puppy and purchased the insurance, plus the wellness coverage. I submitted my wellness claims, which was very easy via their website. I received an email within minutes that my claims had been received and were pending review. A few days later, I got word that both claims had been approved. I had the reimbursement within days. I am very happy with the communication and service, thus far. I would definitely recommend them to other pet parents.
