Surgery relief in a snap for my 12 year fur baby
My active border collie mix had a large ACL tear and could not put any weight on his hind leg. We wanted to make sure his golden years were the best possible and that was not going to happen if he continued hobbling around so we opted to move forward with his ACL surgery. Trupanion was fantastic and immediately responded once our vet submitted the claim. I could not have asked for a better response or outcome on their part. I will continue insuring my pets with them for years to come so I can continue having peace of mind when it comes to the treatment needs of my dogs.

Scammy, policies are written to avoid claims
Failure to meet policy; had cardiac consult which included a diagnostic test but was declined because the vet invoice did not reference "diagnostic" but vet exam notes provided detailed explanation and diagnostic testing results...in detail. Company also rejected claim for a diagnostic for flea infection and they claimed it was not covered when their own policy explicitly states only pest diseases or related matters are not covered. A test for a pest disease is not a pest disease or related matter. Clear contractual language is either too difficult for them or they purposefully write their contracts in such a way as to challenge claims without recourse. Avoid Figo pet insurance.

No pet name tag sent out!!!
We never had pet insurance before but we decided to get it with our new kitten. Shortly after enrolling, his little name tag gift from TP arrived (Jan2023). We added a second furbaby, enrolled with TP, and in Mar2023 his name tag gift arrived. We added one last kitty, enrolled with TP but no name tag gift arrived. We called in early July2023, they said it will mailed soon. Called again in Sept2023 and Nov2023. Various excuses, not sure why it hasn't arrived, etc. but they said it will be mailed out. Called again (4th time) on Jan 2/24, and the agent didn't seem too sure, thinks they stopped sending name tags out since June2023, and doesn't think they are going to do it anymore. Disappointed it took 4 calls over 6 months to (maybe) get an answer. Not sure why during the first 3 calls no one mentioned this. It's not about the price because we can purchase and engrave his name on a tag. We just wanted all 3 boys to have the same design. I don't think they will know but mom and dad know.

I feels great to have my furbaby covered at a decent price
I like the coverage that the plan(s) offers, and I think the plan is also affordable for what it covers as well. It's great to have that peace of mind, just in case something happens (to it covers some preventive care)!
