Never again
2 different dogs in a row they wouldn’t cover because I put in the claim before the policy kicked in. After 7 months, really?!? They also picked everything apart and kept having me send in the same invoices over over saying dogs name wasn’t on it when it clearly was. Our Chihuahua need emergency care over the weekend while we were traveling and we ended up filing a claim once we were home. The benefits were applied exactly as promised and we were paid promptly before the 30 days. We have a very healthy dog and never thought we would need insurance, but a kidney stone was an unexpected event and quite costly. We were grateful for the wonderful doctors who took care of our baby and for having insurance to cover his treatment.

When I got insurance for my dog back in 2004, the choices for pet insurance were very limited (back then Nationwide was called VPI). Now, many companies offer pet insurance with several choices and options but I never switched, Of course I’ve had my share of issues and frustration with this company but the reason I stay with nationwide is one of their dedicated supervisor: Maria F. A few years ago during an ongoing issue with reimbursement I asked to speak with a supervisor and I was lucky enough to get Maria on the phone, she asked me to give her time to review the case and shortly after she resolved the issue. Since then every time I run into a problem and I ask to speak to her, she makes the time to review the case and gets back to me with the results. There are times that she explains why my claims were rejected and I believe her because over the years she has been so professional and helpful that I’ve learned to trust her. Not only I stay with Nationwide pet insurance because of their dedicated people like Maria, my friends and family use this insurance for their pets based on my recommendation.

I have used Embrace for two dogs
I have used Embrace for two dogs. Both had cancer. My current dog (Beso) has a type of cancer that had a sudden onset. Embrace covered the event and was extremely thorough and compassionate. Within a week the claim was filed, researched, paid and deposited in my account. I was so grateful.
