Pet Insurance - Wellness plan not as advertised! .

All my questions were answered and the online purchase was smooth. Update 10/4/24: I filed my 1st Wellness claim and many of the services covered under the Preventive Esstentials Plan were denied because my vet bundled Fecal, bloodwork, and urinalysis. Therefore they denied the annual vet exam that is advertised to be reimbursed at 100%, they denied the rabies and Lyme disease vaccines, also to be covered at 100%! Because the vet bundled tests, Pumpkin refunded my Preventitive Essentials premium and essentially covered nothing, as if I never had the Preventitive Esstentials plan at all. WARNING: discuss with your vet on how they bill before submitting a claim!

Great Customer Service!

Claim was very easy to submit & Jessica was great at keeping me informed about the claim status. She made the whole process very easy to understand. I’m so glad we chose Embrace for Hardy!

Empower extended my deadline.

I had financial problems and I needed to take my dog to the vet, but I couldn’t afford it at that time. Tyler Minski of Empower was kind enough to extend my deadline so that I could take my dog to the vet. They genuinely care!! Thank you Empower!!

The communication was good

The communication was good. When my papers were submitted, I had an update as to the progress being made. When the refund was shown, the explanation was clear.

Helpful and friendly

They were very good at communicating. They initially denied the claim. I contacted both our regular vet and the vet at the University vet school and they both sent letters. After that the claim was approved and paid quickly. Everyone I spoke to or communicated with was very friendly and helpful.

The price has doubled + + since I first signed up 2 + years ago. EVERYTHING I ever submitted was denied (3 claims). From infections, ear issues, bowel issues - EVERYTHING. When I submitted a claim I got back a generic letter saying that what I was submitting was not covered. Outside of something catastrophic I am guessing they do not cover much! We dropped the policy after contributing over the past 2 + Years (started policy on 8/30/22 started out at $129.63 a month to August 2024 when I cancelled the policy at $220.15. I basically am looking back over the past 2 + years and I have spent $3,889.59. At this point I could have paid for an emergency surgery. Without notice they raised my monthly payment 2 different times. Canceling and taking my chances on my dog staying healthy.

Did well contrasting competitors.

Did well contrasting competitors. It is complicated and amazing how each insurance product includes or excludes items. As terrible as accidents are, the failure of all the insurance products to me is coverage for wellness. Most do have a wellness policy, but if you do the math then it is really just prepaying to loose money, break even, or maybe save $50 a year.

My coverage has more than doubled in a…

My coverage has more than doubled in a little over 2 years along with the fact that anytime I have submitted anything it hasn’t been covered anyways. Im not sure at this point it’s worth the outrageous amount I am spending per year. May have been better off to just put that money away and use it when needed.
