Paid them $1500/year for 2 years and…
Paid them $1500/year for 2 years and still had to fully pay for my vet visits. Don't waste your money if your pet is healthy and just needs annual check ups. They will just rob you.

Choice of veterinarians
The veterinarians listed on the site that take the insurance coverage was a plus for me. The clinic that I take my dog to was listed as a covered clinic for emergency services. That is just what I was searching for.

33% premium increase and denial of coverage. Waste of time and money.
annual premium increased 38% ($135) after one year with zero claims for three year old healthy pet. no explanation provided. when i called to review the increase with agent, she could not provide anything specific, just pointed to the fact that "CA rates may be higher than other states...." agents are extremely nice and polite, but have had to call/email/follow-up somewhere between 5-10 times for the same question regarding why my declining deductible benefit was never reduced by $50 after the first year without any paid claims...still fighting to get this benefit... the final reveal that I have been scammed is that they declined over $1k in dental surgery costs my pet required for tooth extractions by referencing their policy that any sort of prior dental issue makes them not liable to pay for dental issues. Even if the event needing coverage is unrelated to the condition that was present during the waiting period. Meaning, because my pet had evidence of the grade 1 tarter (the lowest besides 0) during the waiting period they denied payment for her tooth extractions caused by periodontal disease. The vet even wrote a letter stating this disease was not present prior to her needing the extractions. My pet had regular and repeated exams that never revealed any issues or treatment plans for her teeth. Their fine print allows them to deny coverage because she had this minor issue and unrelated issue. What's the point of having insurance when you can find a way to weasel out of paying every claim? Will be changing to more reputable company.

Overpriced
I wanted to add an additional pet to my Embrace policy. After researching pet insurers, I found one with the same benefits + more that was HALF the price. Also, Embrace has many restrictions related to making changes to the policy. I guess I should have done more research!
