First time opted to purchase pet…

First time opted to purchase pet insurance. Over thirty years paid many vet bills for cats. With two new purebred kittens researched many and chose Embrace. They are always there for you if you have to call. Website very easy to follow, submit claims, etc. They are proactive in handling of claims. Have had just six months and very pleased. Peace of mind is worth it. 10% off for add on pets.

poor support

I have had a pets best policy for only a few months and when my sweet kitty needed surgery I tried to connect with them to make sure it was covered. I’ve tried chatting, leaving them email messages, and tried calling and have not once spoken to a real person for help. It is interfering with my ability to make big decisions about my animal that I care for. Very frustrating. I will keep trying, but I will be cancelling soon if I can’t speak to someone.

WORST pet insurance I have encountered

WORST pet insurance I have encountered. Ads and info provided say coverage is good and prompt. However, I can’t help but think of the movie The Incredibles when experiencing the slow, poor service provided by Fetch. The seem to be VERY slow at evaluating basic claims and then saying ‘no, your vaccinations are not covered. B.S. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED.

Good not great

Set up was easy and they were supportive. They want your business! I don’t think their platform is super customer friendly. Their chat service is often busy. If you end up calling for support they are kind but vague in what they can answer. It would be preferential to know what would be covered given a quote instead of having to submit a claim and see. Reimbursement has been pretty good so far based on the plan we selected.

If you set the money on fire instead, at least you'd generate a little heat.

We may as well have taken the money spent on our policy and given it away instead. Spot will look for any and all reasons to deny your claims, which is to be expected, most pet insurance is useless unless there is a horrible accident, but if Spot can't find a reason they will make it up. If you question their reasoning, their rude and condescending staff is more than happy to create a different excuse (or in the case of one person we had the displeasure of speaking with, just say "tough"). We're certainly learned our lesson with Spot (who also operates as ASPCA Insurance, be careful out there). Edit since there is no ability to reply to a reply: Even though the Spot representative who replied to this review claims that they are not related to ASPCA Pet Insurance, Spot is administered and their claims are adjudicated by PTZ Insurance Agency, Ltd., who is listed as the producers of ASCPA Pet Insurance. It's different desks in the same office.
