Great coverage and prompt reimbursement!

We have been clients of Healthy Paws insurance for many years - with policies for our cats and our dogs. I initially purchased the policies as a safeguard in case of serious injury - mostly because of our young, active dogs! We really didn’t submit our first claim until our animals were more advanced in age but, even so, it has been very worthwhile. Our elderly cats had some end of life care that was supported and now our aging dogs are also benefiting from our coverage. For one of our dogs, in particular, we had to seek diagnosis and treatment from a neurologist and we have ongoing therapies that must be carried out for the rest of his life. I have been so impressed by the extent of what our policy covers and by the prompt reimbursement we have received. Our policy has allowed us to provide our pets with quality care that has led to improved quality of life for them. Customer service has also been stellar. I’m very satisfied with our experience with this company.

Just don't do it

Worst insurance company ever! I wouldn't trust them to care for a stuffed toy let alone a living creature. As a vet tech of 14 years I've seen a lot, and my worst mistake ever was insuring my own pets with them. If they're not ghosting you or constantly requesting records they've recieved 4 times already (so they can extend the length of time before payment) they are hiding serious clauses in the small print that you don't get until after you sign up. They will do everything they can to find the smallest detail in wording so they don't have to pay for your pets accident and then play it off like it's no big deal. After months of fighting with them when the only one who would speak to me was our clinics representative, they had the nerve to call and request records AGAIN and specifically told the clinic I work at that they WOULD NOT talk to me about it under any circumstances. Do yourself a favor and find a different company.

Healthy Paws Pet Insurance: A Lifesaver for Pet Parents!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Healthy Paws Pet Insurance! As a dedicated pet parent, I want the best for my furry friend, and Healthy Paws has truly exceeded my expectations in every way. My dog, Charlotte, has been insured with Healthy Paws since 2020, and their support has been invaluable. From the moment I signed up, the process was seamless and straightforward. The customer service team was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about my pet's well-being. They answered all my questions with patience and made sure I understood the coverage options thoroughly. What really sets Healthy Paws apart is their prompt and hassle-free claims process. Charlotte has had her share of health challenges, including IBD, kidney disease, and malignant tumors around her mammary glands that required surgery. Healthy Paws quickly processed the claims for her treatments, including the ultrasound and CT scan when another tumor was found near her kidney. They even followed up with me both times to make sure Charlotte was okay. Their compassionate and personal touch made all the difference during these stressful times. Healthy Paws also covers emergencies like ear infections, a UTI, and accidental ingestion, proving their comprehensive coverage. Knowing that Charlotte is protected gives me immense peace of mind. I never have to hesitate when it comes to her health because I know Healthy Paws has us covered. Moreover, their commitment to helping animals extends beyond just insurance. Healthy Paws donates to animal shelters and rescues with every quote, which speaks volumes about their dedication to the pet community. Healthy Paws Pet Insurance is the best decision I’ve made for my pet's health and well-being. Their exceptional service, compassionate approach, and comprehensive coverage make them a standout choice. I wholeheartedly recommend Healthy Paws to every pet owner. Thank you, Healthy Paws, for being there for Charlotte and me!

Sonnet is amazing

My family and I had an amazing experience with Sonnet! They had prompt responses when we had claims. The last but not least, when we were involved in an accident, we were hit from behind, we couldn’t drive our suv but then Sonnet lent us a luxury vehicle to use.

The ASPCA Website Is Misleading

The ASPCA website is quite misleading. While it clearly explains reimbursements for complete coverage, it is not clear about preventative coverage. I submitted my vet bill expecting to be reimbursed 90%, but instead, I only received 20%. My $95 monthly payments ended up equalling the 20% reimbursement I got back, so I essentially received no reimbursement at all! I didn't want to leave a negative review for ASPCA, so I tried contacting their customer service to resolve the issue, but I never got a response. I am very disappointed with this pet insurance.

Consider other alternatives.

My company offers this insurance as a new benefit to us. We still have to pay individually but it's nice to have it come out of my paycheck to handle the monthly fees. What I have noticed is they are very selective about picking through each invoice, makes multiple back and forth situations that you need to provide additional documentation from the VET. Claim processing time...... It's painfully slow. Still waiting on a claim from 6/10 to be processed. Multiple emails saying sorry for taking so long. Once these outstanding claims finally process, I'm going to be strongly considering switching to another provider.

Shady, dishonest business practices

Well... why are all insurance companies seem to be run by scammers? I took my pet to the vet because she was scratching too much and they gave her some medicines, saying it could be seasonal, or a tick bite, or something else. Spot asked me for her medical history, and then denied the claim because they considered it a "Pre-existing condition" since I had taken her two years ago to the vet for an allergic reaction... Well... that is just ludicrous. If I have a flu today, go to the doctor, and 2 years later go to the doctor for a flu, do I have an EXISTING CONDITION??? Of course not!!!!! I would be ok with the money I spent going towards my deductible, actually I expected it, but to be denied on such a ridiculous argument??? They SUCK! If she had cancer, OK, I would understand. But for this? Just dishonest.
