Was hopeful
As others have written, very easy to sign up and for them to take their auto payment. This year they increased my rate by more than $50 a month. When called (sometimes you can have a multi-hour wait), I was informed that they evaluate the dogs annually and increase accordingly. I need to go through my emails, I do not recall receiving anything notifying me of the renewal increase. Getting reimbursed has been difficult and lengthy. They request information over and over, making a lot of extra work for the vet staff (and annoying to me because I’m unable to help in any way). The most recent, that I’m still waiting on, my dog got sick. Throwing up and diarrhea everywhere, was waiting overnight to see how she was — she declined further and was barely able to stand. This is normally a high energy, very active dog. We’ve been clients for over a year. This is the first claim on her. They’re still looking into it to be sure it isn’t pre-existing. They have the report card from when we signet up showing there was no issues. It’s been a year, no claims, and they treat us like we’ve done something wrong and search hard to find something wrong. Also be aware that the prescriptions actual fall under the deductible too. My older dog has a new for meds, and we won’t meet the deductible, so no script coverage. Update in response to Embrace’s response: In one year, while interest rates were between 3-4%, our rates increased about 50%. A rate increase can and is expected, but this to me is excessive — and without warning. Pertaining to having medical records: as stated we’ve had a policy for a year. When enrolling we have to provide records and we did the all the testing reports and such, so all records are in. My dog got sick (some type of stomach issue) and it has been well over a month, with multiple reports and records sent from my vet and it is STILL on hold. My dog was sick, she was weak and was barely able to stand, so it is on hold to see if she had any lameness as a pre-existing condition. There were no pre-existing conditions and it was an issue with her stomach … three different report types from my vet — all stating my dog is not lame in any way and they are trying to say it is now going to be a pre-existing condition and the claim is on hold.

Great care since pups.
We have 2 females we insured when we got them as pups at 3 months. pet family shared plan, Met life has honored every claim per plan with 80% reimbursement. have no complaints. ty Met Life pet caring for my family. P. S. my company an added plus.. payroll deduction is available. Just one more thing making them the right choice for us.. HAPPY WITH MET LIFE. 🐶

I was happy with Embrace until my monthly fee doubled this year. I was told it was the increase in cost for pet care. There had been an increase every year that was mostly reasonable however I found it interesting that the cost doubled right after a year where I had used the policy more.

What is going on with Embrace?!
What is going on with Embrace?!? I have been a loyal customer since 2013 and have previously recommended this company to many others. Recent denial of claim on new puppy asking for information before she was born and from vet that my previous deceased dog went to years ago. Now system refusing to upload documents and holding for hour with no one answering the phone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent customer service and compassionate organization
I've been an Embrace customer for over 10 years. It has been a lifesaver, especially during the difficult times I've had with some of my dogs who developed serious illnesses. Not once had my claims been denied and unlike other pet insurance companies that would drop their customers suddenly, Embrace has proven to be a reliable/compassionate company that values its customers. Twice now that we've maxed, or close to maxed out, our annual limit. Just this month, I lost my little sunshine, Casey. The last two months have been very difficult, with multiple trips to the emergency vet and 2 hospitalizations. While it can't take away Casey's loss, it is a relief to know that I won't have to shoulder the burden of all the expenses on my own. Embrace has been prompt in reimbursing my claims and has even done their best to help maximize what I could get back from a dental procedure that she had just 2 months ago. Their customer service has always been very helpful and friendly. To those who are on the fence about getting a pet insurance or say that it's best to put the money aside in a savings account instead of paying for a monthly insurance premium, imagine having to shell out over $6k for one hospitalization and knowing that you are shouldering all that expense on your own. I can't recommend Embrace enough. Life is already stressful without worrying whether you can afford to save the life of a loved one.
