Great Customer Service

I really appreciate the ease of submitting my claims and the quick reimbursement process. I also appreciate that when a claim is delayed, they reach out to you and apologize for the delay and give you an update. Great customer service.

Easy to switch insurance to you

Easy to switch insurance to you. I’m liking the app, but just realized that when I confirm my driving, I didn’t take into consideration that my child was watching my phone while in the car, so sometimes it appears as though I’m using my phone while driving which I don’t ever do.

Helpful service

I have been reimbursed in a timely manner when I make a claim. Also, if I speak to a live representative with any concerns or questions, they are always super friendly and helpful. The only negative to my MetLife pet insurance is the amount monthly payment has increased with each policy renewal. I feel that it is a bit excessive considering I have never made too many claims

My policy got cancelled because I didn't call in. This was not clear in the letter I received. I thought if I paid the premium, it would continue. I have a card on file. I thought my pets were covered and am pretty upset. Now I have to re-apply, which was also not clear. The web portal is lacking in a lot of options, including renewal and explaining the policy. I'm not clear if I am getting my UC discount.

Nationwide Pet insurance is the…

Nationwide Pet insurance is the absolute worst company I have ever used. After over 12 years of paying yearly increasing premiums to keep my dogs covered no matter what, I had to call to cancel as my boy entered into palliative care. As I assumed I had paid for the month already I called to cancel knowing the next few days would be stressful and it would be easily forgotten. I told them that I would no longer need coverage after that day believing they would cover our final vet visit that morning. They decided to prorate my account for the month and therefore not cover his final $600 visit. I paid $1200 a year and of course they tried to keep coverage stating they would pay $60 towards cremation if I just kept paying over $100 a month, when I told them this made no sense they stated I wanted to cancel my policy for before his last visit for financial reasons, which was entirely not the case. They are a cruel and horrible company that is just looking to make a buck off animal lovers that care about their pets. Stay away from this company at all costs.
