Pets Best is horrible. When I bought the insurance I had no idea my dog was going to injure his cruciate. In the plan, it won't cover cruciate injuries for six months after purchasing the insurance. I understand that due to dogs blowing cruciates and people buying insurance to cover it. However, he DID blow the second one after the six-month waiting period, and Best Pets denied the claim stating it was a pre-existing condition. He had NOT blown EITHER cruciate at the time I purchased the insurance and thus, the condition was NOT pre-existing. He blew the first one five months into the plan. I could have waited and filed a claim after the six-month waiting period but it wouldn't have been fair to the dog. To make matters worse, they RAISED MY RATES without notification. They raised it by ten dollars. Some insurances would have covered both cruciates and if not the first, the last. The customer service got a 3 because they answered the phone and the person on the other end was pleasant. They got a 2 on the ease of filing a claim because my vet sent in my pet's records 3 times and Pets Best said they never received it. I had to go and upload all the records myself. It was frustrating. I should have done better research because others have had the same problem with raising the rates and filing claims. Others have experienced long, drug-out claims reimbursement. I will research other insurances for my new puppy and switch my other dog.

I've had several claims with Healthy Paws for my older labrador. They've clearly explained his coverage and what documentation is required for care. I can't tell you how impressed I have been with all of my experiences with Healthy Paws. Our cat and dog have been insured by Healthy Paws for over 5 years. We recently experienced an emergency with our dog which required her to be admitted to the emergency vets for 3 days and 2 nights. The process of submitting a claim was seamless. It literally took only a few minutes to complete. Even more impressively, we received a reimbursement check within days of the submission. If that wasn't enough, Healthy Paws followed up to see how our dog was doing. This business gets high marks in every regard. Ease of use, consumer friendly, delivering exactly what is advertised and finally compassion during a stressful time. Thank you for being there when we most needed you. Trupanion’s claim adjusters when reviewing claims for new and existing conditions are done inefficiently and wrongly when to or not to apply customer’s deductible are done incorrectly. I’ve experienced numerous times when I submit claims for my dog’s condition that deductible has already been met, adjuster would “double dip” by applying my deductible for the same condition.

MetLife for pets is bogus! Ponzi scheme to take money and deny claims based on invalid reasons! They will side with misinformation and call claims denied in the face of incontrovertible evidence. They love "precondition" when the evidence is otherwise. Don't fall for we protect your fur babies! MetLife needs to be held accountable for not honoring their policies! What a joke! Avoid Avoid and file complaints with the Attorney General! Paid out more money for no protection based on a typo! MetLife for Pets is fraudulent as the comments from countless others prove.

I am so impressed with Healthy Paws - I submit a claim and within 48 hours its complete and I have my reimbursement - and then they emailed me to check on our pet who had ACL surgery - amazing and always so helpful - I am so glad I have Heathly Paws

Buying insurance with Pets Best was easy and fast. The rates are affordable and they offer a few different options for plans. Filing a claim was easy and done online within minutes. My claim was approved and went towards my chosen deductible which is what I expected would happen. It did take almost 2 months to process my claim as they were very busy but I was kept up to date during the wait. So far I am very happy with this insurance and have recommended it to others.
