I had a great experience with MetLife Pet. My dog had an emergency on a Tuesday, I submitted my claim on Wednesday and by the following Friday my claim was processed and MetLife covered 80%. I appreciate how seamless the process was! You can easily track the status of the claim in the app and the customer service is top notch. I highly recommend this insurance.

Metlife is great
Metlife generally accepts all of my claims for my cat who is now 15 years old. I truly am happy with the service I am receiving and the price I pay for what I received. I do recommend Metlife Insurance for anyone with a pet.

Terrible company
Terrible company. If your pet has a pre-existing condition, DO NOT GET THIS INSURANCE. No matter what new condition your pet has, they will aleays DENY coverage saying it is related to the pre-exisying condition, even if it is CLEARLY NOT and you involve the vet clinic to explain things. They do not trust the clinic either. Trupanion has horrible coverage policies and service is awful as well. They always make things difficult. They claim to be easy with process, but they are NOT. They don't cover dental procedures either. If you can, run away from this company. Get PetSecure. My experience is way better with that one. I regret tremendously getting Trupanion. RUN AWAY!

The system kept crashing throughout the enrollment process. What is supposed to be at the most 10-15 minute task turned into almost 40 minutes because I had to close the tabs, enter the website, type in the information and restart the process.
