I have been a client for many years and have three dogs registered on Embrace. I appreciate the ease with which I can file a claim and the reasonable responses to my claims. I also appreciate that I can simply send along the receipt from my vet with minimal explanation. I have been able to trust that you can figure out what is covered. I just recently had one of my dogs come down with Anaplasmosis, which has occasioned testing the other two dogs, as well needing to recheck the original dog--many vet visits in a short period--and Embrace has handled these claims swiftly and well.

My first experience with pet insurance…

My first experience with pet insurance since we had mainly adopted much older cats and some with chronic health issues. I added the wellness coverage as well and his annual exam, fecal, rabies shot and standard cbc were covered. Filing the claim was quick and easy and payment was fast. I hope my cat has a long and healthy life but rest easier knowing I will never have to refuse necessary treatments due to cost since I am now retired. I looked long and hard at other companies, but Pumpkin was the best deal for my needs.

Bait and switch

First policy renewal and the premium doubled!! No claims at time of renewal. Bait and switch tactic which will now cause issues when I change back to our previous insurance since they will be new pets instead of having a history on the policy. And because I had a claim (just after the policy renewal) now that will be a preexisting condition on any new policy and won’t be covered in future. Really got screwed over with long lasting repercussions.

Easy and Fast

First time using insurance with my new puppies. It was easy to submit the claim and they responded fast and send back the money. The only thing was the pre pay fecal testing., because it wasn’t done yet, even that I already pay for it, they couldn’t reimburse me that until it’s done . I have to ask for a new invoice and submit the claim again. I had to call because I didn’t understand and the lady who answer was nice and clear

Surprised about non coverage for what is a definite health issue needing professional care

Well I have to admit the expression of anal glands not being covered by Pippa’s health insurance was an unhappy surprise to me as surely it is indeed a health issue . I don’t quite get the “ wellness “ coverage issue either for if an animal was “ well” why would we be visiting a vet in the first place and needing to claim reimbursement for that particular issue. I know you have your policies and criteria.. but it does seem a little odd to me …
