I cannot endorse Embrace Pet Insurance…
I cannot endorse Embrace Pet Insurance unless you enroll your pet immediately after birth. Any health issues your pet had before enrollment are considered pre-existing conditions. For instance, my dog had an ear infection a few years ago, so any future ear-related issues aren't covered. He also had diarrhea once, which counts as a pre-existing condition. Additionally, he needed to have a tooth extracted, meaning dental work is not covered. Two years ago, my dog exhibited signs of a potential seizure before I had pet insurance, but he was never officially diagnosed, so it was never confirmed. Fast forward to now, my dog experienced multiple seizures one night, and it required an emergency vet visit. When I submitted a claim, it was denied due to pre-existing conditions, meaning the ER visit and any necessary future medications will not be covered. I understand their perspective, although I disagree with it. I wish it had been clearly communicated when I signed up that his policy would essentially provide no coverage. Had I known, I would not have purchased the policy at that time. I feel deceived and betrayed. I cannot recommend Embrace Pet Insurance because, when I needed them, they were not there for me.

Embrace has been incredible for the 9 years we’ve had them. Their customer service is unmatched and the claims process is easy and quick. We’re a military family and they have been with us through four duty stations and never once let us down.

One of the worst experiences…
One of the worst experiences…. We had them for over 2 years. Every time we tried to put anything in we could never get someone to talk with. Paid $60 per month. Nothing big with surgeries or anything but not once did the cover anything. No problem we got burned. Then we canceled n you would think they would stop charging. Nope!!!! They stop n then started hitting our card again like trash they are n probably do this to lots of people that don’t pay attention to credit cards. This is the 3rd time. Stop ripping people off… you are such a scam n I will make sure everyone knows!!! You are a scam to take advantage of our pets/family members. Typical insurance company. Trash.. stay away!!!!

I found out my dogs coverage had lapsed…
I found out my dogs coverage had lapsed 2 months ago on 2-28-25 not from Nationwide but from Walmart when I tried to get a discount on his prescriptions. I was told a letter was mailed when my credit card payment was denied 1-28-25 but I did not receive it. My card had been compromised so I missed changing this auto payment to Nationwide. You’d think Nationwide would want to email me and let me know of this payment error to keep me as a customer. But no email was sent nor was a phone call made eventhough you have all that info. I’m shocked I didn’t even get a notice to re apply. This could’ve gone on for months. Since I wasn’t notified I did not have a chance to reinstate my old policy. Now I have to reapply and wait for 2 weeks to make sure my dog is covered. Very poor way to treat a valued customer. I’d like to be reinstated without waiting.
