Part of my claim was not covered, which was disappointing. My dog has a new health issue. We went to the ER (which was covered), but at the ER, I was told to followup with a neurologist to help figure out a diagnosis. I did that, but the neurology visit was not covered. I understand that vet exams are not typically covered, but I also understand that items related to getting a diagnosis and treatment ARE covered. So how is an exam by a specialist - which was needed to MAKE the diagnosis - not covered??? It does not make sense to me. I would likely not recommend Trupanion to a friend because of this technicality.
