Healthy Paws - Highly Recommended
I highly recommend Healthy Paws to everyone who is considering pet insurance. They have been ethical, honest and quick to reimburse each claim as promised and without question. Most recently, my dog injured her knee and needed surgery. But leading up to that, we tried rest with pain med, then injections to help with healing and comfort, but ultimately she needed the surgery. Not only did they approve and reimburse me for that claim within two days, but they personally followed up to check in on her recovery. Thanks for the support when we needed you. Healthy Paws really has proven that they have a heart and they stand behind their promises.

The representatives I spoke with were…
The representatives I spoke with were knowledgeable and kind. I have been a longtime insurer with Nationwide (and before that VPI) and can't find a better set up than this. They were very helpful - I even have the direct line to a representative should I have questions or need to make changes. Thank you for all your help!

Even though I two insurance policies
Even though I two insurance policies, 3 dogs on one and 1 dog on another, and the receipt from the vet for services had all the dog on it, they separated it out so I got refunds on each policy.

Scam
I had to take my dog to the vet as she was having some breathing issues, I knew I had to wait 12 days for the insurance to cover the policy, anyway I called to the insurance and the lady told me over the phone that I could start a claim and the claim department will make the decision . On the 13 day after I subscribed to the insurance I took my dog to the vet again , the 12 days grace period had past already and my dog was covered, I took my dog because she has a lump in the joint if her leg and the shoulder so I open the claim for both visits 4 weeks after. On Monday I received an email from PHI telling me that my dog is not covered as the breathing pelriblrm she had was already a past condition ( she had kennel cough last year ) I don’t think the problem she has now has nothing to do with that condition from the past year and the lump in her leg was not there before. They made the decision and they will not cover both visits. I am looking for other insurance provider for my dog.
