Disapointment and Waste of Money
I’ve had Embrace Pet Insurance since 2022, paying monthly with the expectation of peace of mind if my pet ever needed care. Unfortunately, when I finally needed to file my first claim, it was denied—despite having active coverage for over two years. To make matters worse, my monthly premium nearly doubled recently, and the only explanation I received was that it “reflects rising veterinary costs.” Meanwhile, I received no added benefits or improvements in coverage. It’s incredibly frustrating to be a loyal, paying customer for years only to be denied support the first time I actually need it. Pet insurance is supposed to provide security and reduce financial stress, not add to it. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Embrace. If you're looking for an insurer that actually supports you when it matters, I’d suggest looking elsewhere.

Reimbursement was easy
Reimbursement was easy. But figuring out how to log in and get to my records was hard.

Website and sign up easy to use
Easy to sign up, difficult to renew. Three stars because they decided not to renew my policy and didn't give me a way to switch to another plan

NATIONWIDE IS AWFUL AND CUSTOMER SERVICE NON EXISTENT
I was set up for automatic payment on our two pets along with paperless notification. My payment method (credit card) had to be closed for fraud and I did not remember it was being used for the monthly payments. I have never missed a payment. AND I never received an email notification or text from Nationwide saying to pay or your policy will lapse!!! No one to talk to or do anything about this. All I could do was get a new policy which obviously puts my pets at risk after being covered for SO LONG with Nationwide. I’m pissed. So now anything that was found with my dogs during the previous coverage is no longer covered because it’s considered a pre-existing condition?? I hate your company…..

Pet Insurance Plan
I enjoyed the ease of option selection during my quote building. I got accident coverage for 5 animals under 30 dollars a month.

The claim process was pretty simple
The claim process was pretty simple. I haven't received the reimbursement check yet, but am happy with the amount that I will be getting back. Update: I received my reimbursement check and am happy with the amounts/ services that were covered. Preventative services were reimbursed and my pet is covered for more serious issues too.

I’m done ……
When my pet insurance policy was up for renewal, I contacted NW and they told me that I needed to get a new policy. They told me they would have to close my existing policy before they could renew. Now I have no insurance. They sent out a questionnaire asking about my pet and what veterinarian office I was using. They contacted the office to get my dog medical records. Apparently after NW reviewed his records they found that his liver ALT was slightly elevated. NW considered this as precondition. I was told by my vet that this is not unusually in dogs and there is no precondition with him or do we need to treat him. I spent more money to have a complete liver panel done to only find out that everything else was in range. I went back to NW with this information and they came back with he needs to be treated. This was the end for me. Is NW a vet professional or an insurance company? I think my vet knows what they are talking about. I have had NW 10+years and I always highly recommend them to friends with pets. No more. Nationwide was definitely not on my side.
