Great customer service and response time is quick.
I am a new customer of Embrace and have 2 puppies. Lots of appts with the vet for shots, worms, ear infections, etc. I have sent my invoices in and had a response the next day and a check shortly after that. I am very pleased with Embrace and highly recommend them.

Great Customer Service, Quick Processing
I recently made a claim. Embrace contacted me through every step via email to let me know that they received my paperwork, processed the request and issued the payment. I received a check just 3 weeks after submitting the request. I am impressed and happy that I chose Embrace :)

Very easy process
We just made and received our first claim under the Wellness Plan. The process couldn't have been easier and everytime I needed to talk to somebody on the phone, the customer service rep was very helpful. The reimbursement check came faster than they promised. Thanks again.

Very Pleased & Grateful
My experience with ASPCA has been 100% positive. I insured my always-in-excellent-health 11 year old Cairn Terrier with the Premium coverage, estimating the higher costs of the broadest coverage available would come close to paying for itself within the year. Imagine my shock when, just 4 months later, my dog was diagnosed with hepatic lymphoma-- a cancerous lymph node in his liver. It was a relief to know the excellent ASPCA Premium Plan covered most of the costs, making the 18 week chemotherapy protocol affordable. I did not have to make a painful choice between my own finanical needs and the medical costs of my dog. Treatment for his cancer has been remarkably successful, he has an excellent quality of life, and his vets predict a possible two more years of enjoyable life ahead for my dog. I did some comparative research before I bought ASPCA pet insurance, and highly recommend the Premium Plan as the best coverage I could find for an older dog, as lesser options did not offer the same breadth of protection. I am very pleased and very grateful.

Great service, quick claim processing
Several years ago I spent $3,000 on vet bills for an older cat, and the aftermath of the expenses crippled me financially for a long time. I recently got a new cat, and decided to go with Trupanion insurance based on a friend's recommendation, hoping to avoid the same pitfalls that I encountered with pets in the past. About a month ago my cat Wiley, who is only two years old, had a urethral blockage and required $3,000 worth of treatment. Trupanion ended up covering almost $2,400 of the vet costs, without which I would not have been able to give him the treatment that he needed. They processed the claim within several days, and their customer service and professionalism were outstanding. Thanks to Trupanion Wiley is doing great, and I would whole-heartedly recommend their service for anyone that has new pets. The cost per month is very reasonable, so anyone should feel very comfortable hopping on board with Trupanion.

A Great Experience..no hassles, no fuss!!
We bought pet insurance for our dog, Dakota last year. I chose Pets Best after much online research. We had to use the policy for the first time in Novemeber after we discovered a growth on her back leg. She had surgery to remove the growth and a biopsy came back non-cancerous...thank God! I submitted the bill, receipts and claim form and within several days, a check arrived in the mail. No hassle, no fuss, no trying to deny my claim, etc...It made the whole process a bit easier and less stressful for us. I have already recommended Pets Best to a friend that just adopted a dog. Thank you for delivering on your promise!!

Feel Completely Tricked
I signed up for a policy for my American Bulldog mix. After I sent in the paperwork for my health history review, I received notification that I needed to prove that my dog was a mix instead of a purebred - his file at the vet mistakenly identified him as a plain American Bulldog - or they were going to raise my premium. I talked to the vet and they said they would provide a written statement indicating that it was an error on their part, and that I really do have a mix. Embrace said this was not sufficient -- that I had to have something from the rescue. Which made no sense to me since they had to guess at what he said and the vet is way more qualified. I was also told that I could send in pictures to demonstrate that he was a mix. So I did. And I was then informed that I had a Boxer Mix so they were going to raise my rates anyway. Which is absolutely ridiculous b/c I did was I was asked to - I proved he was an American Bulldog mix and the underwriters at Embrace switched it up on me so they could raise my rates anyway. I asked for clarification on why they were raising the rates anyway, when I had done what they asked, and had a vet that was willing to atest to that. Instead of getting a response, I got an email informing me that my premium had been raised and my card had already been charged. I feel completely hoodwinked and feel that Embrace has some unethical business practices. I have cancelled my policy b/c I do not want to do business with people I can't trust to be honest. I've read through these other reviews and realize that I am completely in the minority, but wanted to share my experience anyways.

Could be better
The very maladies that seem most prevalent in social pets are the very things that this insurance doesn't cover - parasites and their treatment. And unfortunately, the wording of the policy doesn't make that very clear. Just like children, our pets don't ask their animal friends if they have a health issue before playing together. There are toooooo many exclusions of treatment, and most are not clearly defined as such. Additionally, the policy says that ALL FDA approved drugs are covered. Then they backpedal and tell you that even though it's an FDA approved drug, if it is for parasites, it ISN'T covered. If you have a policy in effect for one pet and add another, there is NOT a significant reduction for multiple pets and THERE IS A WAITING PERIOD FOR THE NEW PET'S COVERAGE, even though an online check indicated insurance was active for new pet. NONE of the new pet shots, checkups, parasite checks and treatment were covered. And as a result of the new pet having common parasites, our "old" pet (18 months old) had to be treated for parasites and NONE OF THIS WAS COVERED. This needs attention. Parasites are contracted from feces and contact with other animals who are affected. We pay as much per month for two pets as we pay in health insurance premiums for one of us and we have far fewer exclusions. If we get a common cold or flu, we have coverage. If our pets get a common parasite infection, they DO NOT have coverage. This insurance is not a great purchase, but better than nothing. For the money, the whole exclusion concept needs to be reworked...
