ASPCA Pet Ins, Is a really good Idea!

We decided to get pet insurance after having two ACL replacements on our lab/newfoundland. Which cost us out of pocket over 10k. After he passed we got a puppy golden girl, and decided that it would be a good idea to get coverage while she was young and before anything went wrong. So far she is as healthy as can be. But the insurance has already paid for itself just in well visits and a small injury. Highly recomend having pet insurance.

Great for wellness

I currently have three dogs covered with Embrace and thankfully none have met their deductible, at this point, for accident or illness. We treat them holistically as much as possible and it has helped to have their blood work covered through the wellness plan. Customer service is wonderfully responsive!

Didn't think I would need it, great decision.

I bought this for Annie, my Shelter rescue Stafford after seeing some friends with some hefty Vet. bills. She was always very healthy with only annual visits. Six or so months after purchasing she starts collapsing for no reason which turned out to be a neck nerve issue. Two months later I find a tumor on her chest. Two surgeries later and in the second month of chemo therapy shes doing well, and I sure as heck am glad I can recoup some of the bills. Submission is easy via fax, email, mail and you can track your claims online. Payments are usually made within a few weeks of submission. Overall as pet insurance goes, this is a solid plan. Make sure you get the continuing care so you are covered from the previous year injuries.

All positive

So far I haven't had a big claim and I hope never to have one. My injury claims have been for wellness and small things like ear infections and a sore back. Every one has been handled promptly with awesome customer service. Everyone is incredibly professional and friendly. I've had Embrace for two years for both dogs.

Excellent Reimbursement

Mercesdes, our 10 week old great pyrenee puppy, recently got ahold of a fallen glass Christmas tree bulb and upon breaking it in her mouth swallowed the majority of the ornament. We'd gotten Trupanion for added protection, we thought we wouldn't need. All dogs can have unexpected health problems that cost a great deal of emergency vet. care, and Mercedes needed this immediately. The specialists had to do surgery on her, and there was no way we could have afforded it, but Mercedes insurance company promised to pay over 90 percent. Well, we just received notice within a month, that over $3000. worth has been covered. We are elated and very grateful. Thank You, Trupanion!!!

So Far, Delivering as Promised

We've been pet owners for 4 months with a 6 mth old Chihuahua named Harlie. Because of the disparity of price structures and reimbursement schedules between insurance companies, our search for the best insurance coverage actually began by first realizing finding a Vet with a good reputation with reasonable fees was the first step. We found that spaying in our geographical area ranged from $170 to over $400+ for Harlie--quite a spread for the same procedure. By finding a Vet with reasonable rates we assured ourselves of getting the best reimbursements from any insurance plan we selected. We decided not to go with a company with a benefits schedule such as the VPI plan which has several pages of very confusing medical codes and procedures broken down into 2 columns that I couldn't figure out even after speaking with their rep. Then there's the long list of exclusion medical codes that I'm sure seem small, until you find your pet falls into one of those areas when it comes time to file a claim! Embrace seems to have a well balanced plan that will cover the high cost of an emergency treatment, while also providing great Wellness coverage benefits--better than any other plan we looked at. Embrace also allows you to tailor your deductible and co-pay to further reduce your premium should that be an issue for you. So far, the claim process has been very simple and reimbursement times have been reasonable (within 2 weeks). The staff sends status emails every step of the way o

Rip Off ASPCA

I bought the insurance and a year later my dog had to have an ACL which is common on small dogs. Since 2 years previous tot he insurance he had it on the opposite side, ASPCA concluded it was a preexisting condition. ASPCA never mentioned in their advertising or comments that such a thing could occur other than 6 months. It cost me over $2000 and when I complained, ASPCA would not even respond. ASPCA are a bunch of groups conning people who own pets with no real caring. Use another insurance company. DON'T GET RIPPED OFF.
