Totally covered!

Thank you so much, Pets Best, for covering the full 80% of Mason's very expensive heat stroke scare. My husband and I are amazed how fast and easy the process is for filing all of our claims but have been particularly impressed with this one (over $2k). If only insurance for us humans were this simple!

Couldn't imagine anything better!

After incurring many thousands of dollars in surgery and other health costs over the life of our yellow lab, we vowed that never again would cost play a role in determining how (or if) to treat a sick pet, and so determined to purchase health insurance from the outset for Maggie, our standard poodle puppy. After doing on-line research and discovering that there are clearly very significant differences between pet health insurers, we narrowed our choices to 3 and, ultimately, selected Healthy Paws. Soon after, we added Jetta, our (then) 11-year old poodle/vizsla mix (we were pleasantly surprised at the modest cost of insuring a healthy but no longer young dog). One year later, the experience has been outstanding on every level. For one, the claim submission process is incredibly user-friendly. (If we concentrate, we can actually do it ourselves without any help from Maggie's & Jetta's feline siblings.) Within a day or two of submitting a claim Healthy Paws sends an email acknowledging receipt and a couple of days later another advising that the claim has been processed with a breakdown of the reimbursement. Our experience has been that a check is in hand in less than a week. The staff is extremely professional and caring and clearly loves animals. After submitting a claim for a leg injury suffered by Maggie, we received emails inquiring after her recovery, wishing her well and affirmatively suggesting that we submit claims for some earlier medications which showed up on

Hats off to Healthy Paws

Healthy paws pet insurance is fantastic! They have customized claim forms for your pet and reimibursement is almost immediate. Once we submitted our claim and it was accepted and approved, we received our reimbursement check within 3 days. They are quicker than our "human" health insurance.

Happily Surprised

This was my first claim with Trupanion even though we have been insured with the for 3 years. Filing the claim was super easy. I was contacted the next day stating that they had the claim. I was notified less than a week later claim had been processed and the surgery was covered at 90% of cost minuse deductible....exactly as policy states. Many friends and family members were pessimistic about having pet insurance and stated that it probably didnt cover much and may not be a wise choice. I will never have an uninsured pet again so that i wont be faced with a choice of giving them medical attention they need or putting them down. A++++

Excellent customer service

I have to say that I am extremely pleased with embrace pet insurance. Customer service keeps you updated from the time your claim is submitted until payment is made-usually within 15 days. I would absolutely recommend them. In fact, I have 2 dogs and had another pet insurance for 5 years. I was unhappy with my old pet insurance customer se ice and fee schedule. I was concerned about switching to a new insurance at their age. I truly have been pleased with the way Embrace has handled all our claims . My only regret is not knowing about them when I first got my dogs!

Mothers day trip to the ER

I have had the ASPCA insurance now for about two yrs for my min pin GIGI and less then a yr on my st bernie mix Fiona. The weekend of mother’s day 2011 Fiona started with an onset of diarrhea. It was not bad to start on Friday but by Sunday it was getting worse and now included Jell-O like blood, so for fear it was something serious, we went to the Emergency Room. The vet did blood work, gave her some injections, some antibiotics and sent us home. Unfortunately this is not my first claim with her but after a $195 ER bill my refund was for $132. I'll take a $65 vet bill over 195 any day. Thank you ASPCA for all your help and being there for me when I needed you. Grant it not all was covered, but w/o the pet insurance I would be in a tighter bind. Having this insurance now a days is a must and this is the one thing that will not be in my budget cut!! Thanks again for the great service and protection. I don't know what we would do without you!

great plan

fortunately, my 1 year old has not had any major illness or accidents yet but I also have the wellness coverage which I love. I have had two claims so far and both were handled quickly and no hassles. Embrace insurance/wellness program I feel is actually better than my own heath insurance plan! Glad this was recommendated to me.

Good to have when it comes to diagnostics

Both of my 14 year old cats began to lose significant amounts of weight over the course of many months. Aside from the weight loss they are both doing very well. We ran a variety of bloodwork tests, x-rays, vet visits, & an ultrasound to try & figure out what was going on with them. The bills mounted, especially since we were trying to determine what was going on with both of them at the same time. It was nice to know that everything I was doing would be covered by pet insurance. The claims are easy to submit, the ASPCA Pet Insurance kept me informed on claim status, & in the end reimbursed everything that I expected them to cover less "customary & reasonable" expenses. (I received just less than $1,000 back from them). I struggled with whether or not to have pet insurance, but in the end decided that since my cats were getting older there was a higher liklihood that they were going to be diagnosed with something that could require expensive treatment or we would have to run a bunch of expensive diagnostic tests to determine what might be wrong - this is why I chose Level 2 - to help cover these types of unexpected, important, & expensive veterinary services.
