We couldn't be more pleased!
Our dog, Ollie, just went through his second TTA surgery (both knees). We had Embrace coverage for both of his operations (the first one 2 years ago) and can't be more pleased. There were no surprises with either claim and they paid them quicker than we ever imagined. Beyond that they emailed often checking on Ollie's progress so we felt that not only were we in good hands from an insurance prospective, but were comforted knowing the Embrace folks care and feel a passion for animals. We hold them in the highest regard and feel so fortunate to have chosen Embrace coverage for both our dog and cat!

Great Experience
I was skeptical about getting pet insurance at first because I thought "what could ever go wrong?" Well let me tell you that anything and everything can go wrong. I searched the various pet insurance companies and I settled for Trupanion for several reasons. The first was that they would cover 90% of illnesses and accidents, the second being that there wasn't a yearly limit, and the third was the price. Even though the price was comparable, and in some cases lower, to other insurance companies that wasn't what brought me to Trupanion, it was #1 and #2. Now back to why I have had a great experience. My 1 year old female yellow lab came down with diarrhea that lasted for over a week. As other pet owners can attest to, diarrhea for that long can be deadly. I brought my girl to the vet for the initial examination and they ended up taking x-rays, prescribed medication and put her on some gentle food. That didn't totally work so I had to bring her back a second time again for another round of x-rays and different medication. After 8 or so days the diarrhea subsided and my girl was back to full health. As you can imagine the vet bill was costly but worth every dollar spend. I paid both bills in full but it sure was nice to have Trupanion on my side. They indeed paid 90% of the bill associated with the vet visits and didn't nickel and dime me to the point where they didn't pay anything. In fact they paid a great portion of the bill. My reluctance to purchase pet in

So relieved to have found Healthy Paws!
If you love your pet, get them the best insurance available. These guys are wonderful. No hassles, no hidden gimicks, AMAZING customer service--such a relief after my last experience with a horrible pet insurance company. They even offered me a discount because I am adopting a rescue puppy and adding him to my dog's insurance. I feel a lot of gratitude that this company exists and I am happy to support them by giving them my business. I recommend them to all my animal loving friends--and I warn my friends about my experience with this other company--do your homework and you will see--this is the insurance you want. LOVE HEALTHY PAWS!!!!

Kind, courteous and professional
My dog, Bowie died unexpectedly due to liver failure. It was a shock since she was one month shy of her seventh birthday. In dealing with my loss, the staff at Embrace was extremely helpful and understanding. They were so wonderful, they sent a sympathy card and everyone signed it! Thank you to everyone that helped me through this devastating loss of my beloved, Bowie.

5 month old puppy - Had claim check in 4 days
I have a 5 month old female Havanese and I purchased pet insurance for her on 4/9/2011. I figured I should get it while she is a puppy and completely healthy to avoid not having the chance to purchase it when she may need it later in life. Well, she ended up needing to be hospitalized less than a month after the policy was purchased. After some blood work, medications, and an overnight stay she was feeling much better. Since we had the insurance we didn't hesitate to take our little girl to the Vet. We knew we had some protection to offset the upcoming costs. It gives you peace of mind. PROS: They have an ANNUAL Deductible not a per incident deductible like many of the other larger pet insurance companies. If I get pet insurance, I don't want to be stuck having to pay $100 or $200 per incident...I want to have it taken care of the first time something happens for the year. They PAY based on ACTUAL COSTS...not some table(Huge difference...ask other companies how they pay out) The PRICE for the policy is very REASONABLY priced for the amount of coverage. (I chose $100 deductible and 90% copay) Had CLAIM CHECK in hand in THREE Days. Amazing speed. I made sure to follow their instructions and had the vet clinic fax up her medical records, since it was her first claim, and I then faxed the completed claim form as soon as I returned from the vet hospital. As I mentioned earlier....claims process was so easy and quick. CONS: Lifetime maximum of $2

Watch out for fee hikes in 2nd year
I have never had pet insurance before. So when I got my next dog I decided to get pet insurance. I had Trupanion insurance for 2 years with no claims. The price jumped from $37 to $65/month for a 3 year old mixed dog.I cannot tell you how the handle claims since I never had one.The rate adjustment is due to technological advancement not the age of the dog they assured me. So watch out for the price increase in 2nd year. I am not happy and will be looking elsewhere.

Just what we need.
When we got our last dog, we decided to get pet insurance. We are retired and on a fixed income. Our last dog had lots of problems and our vet bills were frequent. So far we have had two expensive emergencies. One was poisoning from mushrooms and the other was from eating grapes. The latter also met an overnight stay at the vet hospital. We probably would have to consider not having pets if we didn't insurance.

CLAIMS DENIED!!!
My claims have been denied and I have lost hundreds of dollars. A specialist made a mistake on an onset date of my dog's allergies but he didn't respond in time so not only were his claims denied, but every allergy claim ever made on this dog will be denied. It doesn't matter that the vet said he made an error and the onset date was NOT before the policy. They will never pay an allergy claim. They even denied a yeast ear infection stating it was an allergy...
