Just in the nick of time...
We signed up our ten-week-old pup Cleo for a free Petsecure trial from our vet. The 48-hour waiting period after they faxed our application ended on a Friday night...and first thing Saturday morning, we had a rapidly declining Cleo at the vet with what turned out to be Parvo. She was hospitalized for five long days and nights of excellent veterinary care, and after submitting extra medical records (and a long postal strike), today we received our cheque totaling almost $1300. Cleo has made a fast and thorough recovery, so of course, we are very thankful, but are considering other insurance companies due to the disparate monthly rates. Petsecure and Purina Care are underwritten by the same company, but the monthly rates for their premium plans differ by over $20. Whatever company we choose, we were certainly glad to give Cleo a fighting chance without the stress of the mounting bills.

Life Saver for both me AND my dog
What a blessing it was to find such a PERFECT pet insurance company! Everyone is so polite. Reimbursements are quick. I can't imagine not having pet insurance now days with the high cost of vet bills. My dog is my precious baby and I want to take care of him the best I can and with Embrace I have been able to do that without worrying. THANK YOU EMBRACE!

Great service
Healthy Paws has been terrific. I didn't get Healthy Paws insurance until my dog was 11-years old and had already experienced a major medical issue. There weren't many insurance choices when my dog was a pup. At that time the couple of insurances available were expensive and the coverage wasn't very good. When I decided to get insurance for my dog last year, I compared price and coverage. Healthy Paws offered the coverage I needed at the right price. Their customer service has been wonderful. Less than a year after getting the insurance, my dog got colitis. They not only reimbursed me promptly, but called to follow-up on how he was feeling. They encouraged me to return to the vet if I had any concerns about my dog and assured me that any follow-up, including diagnostic tests and medicine in connection with this illness, would be covered. When the time comes to get another dog, Healthy Paws will be his insurance provider from the start. Their coverage is exactly what they say it will be -- no surprises -- and their customer service is terrific.

Great Service
This is the first time we had pet insurance, started in 1/2011 when we got a few kittens from the shelter and an adult at home. I have three cats all on embrace. I just give the forms to the vet and they fill it our and fax it for me. Very little for me to do. One previous kitten died of FIP a few months ago after numerous expensive tests and treatments. She was an Embrace kitten. They paid the bills quickly, kept me informed with timely emails, and was supportive when our poor kitten passed away. No issues with payment at all. I have called customer service a couple of times to add cats to the policy and the representative was informative, professional, and friendly. I was talking to my coworkers a month ago soon after my one kitten died of FIP about the major expenses the ordeal had placed on us. They said - I bet you wished you had pet insurance. I said - yah I had it. They said - that was real smart. Best decision ever to sign up with embrace.

Honest Company - No hidden tricks
After incurring thousands upon thousands of vet costs caring for our beloved dog who has since crossed rainbow bridge we decided not to risk an other financial setback. When we recovered from the grief and decided to adopt a dog we also got pet insurance. Knowing we could handle the expected routine well dog costs at the vet but cringed at the thought of unexpected expenses for an accident, serious or chronic illness and opted to get a policy from Trupanion. We thought as life goes we would pay monthly and never have reason to use the insurance as the last time around we really needed the protection and didn't have the insurance. Well we were right for a while and then the dog gets sick. Again the experience of our dog developing medical conditions that would require ongoing treatment and medication. Thank heavens we had the pet insurance this time. We have an excellent but expensive vet. Trupanion has been a financial lifesaver for us. Paid claims as promised. No hidden exclusions or excuses. The insurance comes with a "find my owner tag" and this service has been invaluable to us. It saved us from heart ache when the landscaping crew unexpectedly showed up and didn't secure the gate back properly. Before we knew it the dog got out. Panic was about to set in but there was Trupanion calling asking for permission to give our phone number to neighbors down the block who didn't know us but found our dog. After our 11 year old GSD mix dog Lyla broke her leg in 2010 and spending over $6000 I finally got wise and bought pet insurance for all my animals!I used this site among others to research the best company. Well I can say I definitely made the right choice with Trupanion!! Earlier this year my girl had a tooth extracted and had a reimbursement of about $700. But the really big one was a diagnosis of osteosarcoma (ugh!) last month. Another $6000 but this time Trupanion was there to help with almost $5000 in reimbursement ($500 deductible plus a number of specialist visits not covered) She will have ongoing treatment for this and so having the support for the vet bills is incredible. We also got reimbursed within a week! No payout limit for either each incident or for lifetime. Pays 90% of actual expenses not their own table of fees. Friendly people too :) Highly recommend Trupanion!

Trupanion has been a lifesaver!
I have had Trupanion pet insurance for both my dog and cat since March and I love it! Their customer service is excellent and (outside of the very first claim which takes a bit longer to process) the turnaround on receiving reimbursement checks is excellent. They let you choose your deductible (I chose none) and they pay 90% of everything beyond the office visit cost. (Which I found was financially actually a better deal than competitors.) I am very satisfied with their service. They even think of the little details like a collar tag and insurance cards.
