Super Fast process
While like all insurance not everything you want is covered and there is always the co-pay what I really liked was that all claims have been processed within 48 hours of submission and payment was followed just as quickly.

Knowledgeable, friendly staff
There was no wait to get to a representative. The agent I spoke to on the phone had a polite, friendly tone and answered all of my questions. She was easy to understand, did not put me on hold, and was able to quickly respond to specific inquiries I had regarding documents I sent in on different days. I ended the call understanding how my policy works better. If all representatives were like the one I spoke with, customer service would never be a frustrating experience anywhere! Top marks from me, a former customer service rep.

Pets Best
Pets Best has been my insurance for 4+ years. They make it very easy to put a claim in. They keep you posted on the process which is done in a timely manner. I have not had any issues with them. My only complaint is that the premiums have increased each year 20-40%.
Honorable mention
We’ve been with Embrace 4 years and are super happy with this company!! Pros: They pay everything except pre-existing related issues, no hassles! Quick remittance unless charges go under review-then it takes quite a while, but they still end up paying! Cons: Just wish the premiums weren’t so high, or that there’s a $650 max on wellness. (We could use more with prescription dog food needed every month…)

Healthy Paws for the Win
We have had Healthy Paws for our dog since we adopted him from the humane society when he was just a puppy. We decided to get insurance for him after the amount of money we spent on our first two adopted dogs toward the end of their lives. We figured one catastrophic event is all it would take to make it worth our while. We were correct! The first few years of his life we did not even meet the deductible - which was fine, that meant we had a healthy boy on our hands. Recently Lemmy (our dog) developed a limp that would not go away. We discovered he had a torn cruciate ligament in his knee. I did not do any calling ahead of time to make sure it was covered - which had me nervous. No need to be - Healthy Paws covered 80% of the surgery (minus our deductible) and all costs associated with it - except the exam - which is the plan we are signed up for. The premium has risen slightly every year with age, but that is to be expected. We love Healthy Paws!

Our dog dislocated her hip
Our dog dislocated her hip recently. Her vet visits and bills are numerous. Luckily Healthy paws was quick to respond to our claims and send our reimbursements. I’m so grateful we kept this insurance since she was a puppy because accidents happen no matter how cautious we are.

Spot is a must!
Spot has been amazingly helpful, taking away the worry of am I going to be able to afford this visit, to being able to just focus on my cat's care. I've been recommending Spot to all my friends with pets, will never not have Spot Pet Insurance for my fur kids!

Do not get Trupanion
Do not get Trupanion! They treat your pet like it’s car insurance. Why do I need to pay 40$ extra dollars a month because I live in a better neighborhood than I did before? I called them and they said that pet insurance is like car insurance. They go by casualties that happen in certain zip codes. Are you kidding me??? My pet doesn’t get sick, ever and you’re telling me I have to pay more because through a zip code it says that dogs in that are get more sick than others??? This is ridiculous!!!! Starting to sound like human corporate. I’m editing to respond to your non sense response. Exactly, you make a policy due to breeds and their genetic predispositions. I never said I am changing animal hospital, I’m just moving into a new home. I will still go to the same hospital I’ve always gone to, no matter the zip code. I am extremely dissatisfied with Trupanion. While I understand that geographic factors can influence rates, I find it unreasonable and unfair that this adjustment has no direct correlation to my dog’s breed, health, or claims history. My dog’s risk factors remain unchanged regardless of my address, and I believe premiums should primarily reflect the individual pet and policyholder’s history, not a generalization based on location. This increase feels disproportionate and unjustified. I used to value the coverage your company provides but am deeply concerned about the fairness of this adjustment. I would never recommend you guys again.

Amanda is awesome!
Amanda has always been so helpful in answering any questions I have about our pet policies! She was also the one who set up our policies for us, and added on the wellness plan for one of our corgis afterwards. She is always quick to respond, very pleasant to deal with and willing to provide assistance! She has definitely made any experiences I have had with Fetch very easy and pleasant.
