Sigh of Relief
When my pug Tina was diagnosed with lung lobe torsion I was devastated. I hated the idea that my poor girl would have to be opened up and have part of her lung removed. She is only 11 months old! The surgery was $4000+ and boy was I glad that I had bought her insurance when I did. Embrace covered the full 80% that I had selected when I created my policy and I was also glad I had selected to have prescriptions covered too! Never in a million years did I think I would need to use the insurance so quickly after purchasing it. I needed to make this large claim just a month after buying the policy. I'm grateful I had the foresight to buy insurance and also that Embrace has been so pleasant to deal with. I had called them around the day of the surgery to see what my policy covered because I was so distraught I could barely navigate their website or any website for that matter. Their staff on the phone was SO KIND and sympathetic and I truly felt like they were GLAD that I had coverage for her which I have NEVER HAD THAT EXPERIENCE WITH AN INSURANCE COMPANY!!! They are truly a great company with kind employees. The communication is outstanding. A+ all around.

AMAZING.
I was blindsided by my poor pup's illness. Just one morning she was acting so lethargic and unlike her normal puppy self. I rushed her to the vet and then it was just an avalanche of expenses. X-Rays, Sonograms, Meds, Nebulizer treatments, etc. etc. In the moment, you don't care. You just want your puppy to be OK. When the bill was generated after a 2 night hospital stay, it was daunting to say the least. Embrace's terms are simple and easy to understand. My calculation of what I would be reimbursed matched their payment to the penny. No surprises. I'm so glad I did my research when choosing the best insurance company for my sweet pup.

Great Experience
I have a sweet Cavalier King Charles Spaniel who was born with bad knees. Long before we knew she had a knee problem, we took out Healthy Paws Insurance to cover the unknown (I'd only had cats before). Thankfully, it covered her problem and we were able to get her taken care of without worry of money. I did have all the vet records send ahead of time and called to make sure everything was in order. When it came time to file the claim, I had a check for almost $2000 without question and in about a week. They also wrote to check up and make sure she was doing good.

Glad to have it
As Rosie gets older, we seem to spend much more time at the vet. Those visits are expensive and the insurance check takes some of the "sting" away. The cost is reasonable and the coverage sufficient.

I highly recommended Trupanion
My puppy was 3 months old when he had his 1st accident, ( a broken paw in 2 places ). Trupanion notified me via E-mail as soon as they received my claim, which was within 24 hrs of the doctors visit. The check was soon to follow. His 2nd accident was an accidental ingestion, which again was handled quickly and professionally. Wish my health insurance was as quick as Trupanion.

Rates Got Raised Big Time After Surgery
Overall the AKC/Pet Partners insurance group is very good about reimbursements based on your policy. However, after having the policy for 3-1/2 year, my dog required ligament surgery (TTA) of which they did pay 80% based on my policy but upon the next year's renewal, they increased my rates by $100 each month!! I've kept the policy but will be moving to another carrier. After researching, other carriers have the same benefits and hopefully won't be a devious.
