Pets Best has been a big help during a trying year
We have had coverage on our 2 Shelties for a few years now. Last year, our older girl became very sick. Best Pets came through paying up the the Plan max which was very helpful given the money we have had to pay out. During her recovery, a second diagnosis was made. This time it was terminal cancer. Best Pets did their part again. Again paying up to the plan max for this new diagnosis. In total, Best Pets processed over a dozen claims, each one handled very timely. Gabby is still with us and although we paid out thousands in the past year, we would have paid more. It was very helpful to have this insurance to help mitigate the costs.

HEALTHY PAWS PET INSURANCE IS THE ABSOLUTE BEST!!
To All Pet Parents, I would like to share my recent experience with Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. We added two puppies to our family last fall, a Cream colored Lab and Black English Cocker Spaniel. Our Lab was between 8-9 weeks old and our Spaniel was about 12 weeks old when we brought them into our home. I grew up with dogs and have had several of my own including a wonderful Yellow Lab I adopted from a shelter who passed away early last year at nearly age fourteen. He was remarkable and is a dearly missed friend. Dogs are amazing companions that keep us humans grounded in so many respects and remind us of what is really important in life. After bringing our new puppies home, I began researching a variety of pet health insurance companies/plans via numerous websites. As those of you know that have gone through the due diligence process, there are many companies out there that claim to be the best, yet their advertised coverage does not always match up to reality when you need them most. After all, they are making you a promise to be there when you need them. The last thing you want to have to deal with during such a difficult time is an insurance company that will try to do all they can to avoid paying the claim or minimize a legitimate reimbursement to you, the policyholder. Upon an exahaustive search over the course of a month or so, I ended up selecting Healthy Paws Pet Insurance. I chose them for several primary reasons: 1.) The reviews by current customers were out

Healthy Paws Insurance - our best decision ever
We rescued our puppy when he was 3 months old. He is a pretty healthy boy, but seeing how harsh sometimes these puppies are playing with each other made us look for pet insurance. Just in case. Ever since we never regretted our decision. We are a new puppy’s parents and we never knew that dogs may have that many issues with health. So Healthy Paws Insurance made our life much easier. With our new puppy we met our deductable amount quite quickly and we didn’t have any problem with our first reimbursement. The reimbursement actually was surprisingly prompt. Their customer service is outstanding. I am sure we’re gonna stay with Healthy Paws for many, many years.

Embrace is tops!
Sophie is a lovable little Shih Tzu. While traveling to Florida she had an accident while getting off the elevator at the Drury Inn in Paducah, Ky. We were going outside for her last "necessary" trip of the evening. It seems that the people waiting at the 1st floor level were in a rush to get on the elevator and not interested in us getting off. In the confusion Sophie apparently had her rear foot stepped on and she let out a "yelp" and apparently "torqued" her back. By 1 o'clock a.m. she was having difficulty walking and could not get comfortable. I called a vet in Paducah (never got an answer) and finally called the vet in Fort Myers and left a message. He called back the next morning before 7 a.m. and told me to get her to an emergency clinic when I got to Tallahassee, FL that evening. Prior to noon I stopped at a rest stop and she could not move her rear legs. The next city was Birmingham Alabama and I decided to look for such a clinic there. It was a Sunday and I knew that the vet clinics would be closed, however I called one and the recorded message included an emergency clinic's phone To make a long story short she had back surgery that day to remove a ruptured disc. The surgeon on call was James Milton, DVM, MS (retired professor emeritus AUCVM). What a lucky break that was! We are heading back to Iowa by car, on April 2nd and plan to stop to see Dr. Milton on the morning of April 3rd (2 months to the day from surgery). We left the clinic about no

Trupanion's reimbursement process is efficient!
Our dog (Shar Pei, aged 7) was diagnosed with a Mast Cell Tumor. We submitted the costs associated with his procedure to Trupanion for reimbursement. Within a week, Trupanion confirmed receipt of the reimbursement and was actively working with our animal hospital to obtain information to complete the reimbursement process. In less than one month following the procedure we received a reimbursement check in the mail. They made the process very easy and were incredibly efficient.
