Fast Turn Around Time

This is my first year with Embrace Pet Insurance. I have purchased both the accident and wellness plan. I have 2 dogs each around 140 pounds. I submitted a wellness claim to Embrace for vaccinations, heartworm and flea preventative and within a month I was pleasantly surprised to receive two reimbursement checks. I am pleased with the turn around time, and will renew my insurance for the next year.

Process to get reimbursed was so simple!

I've had previous pets on other insurance companies, and by far Healthy Paws was the simplest and fastest. I got the check in the mail quickly... But I only have one gripe... I actually sent two emails. I did not know that if an email was larger than 5MB, their system automatically rejects it. An email letting me know it was rejected would have been nice. Once I called them, and they told me the email limitation for the claim, I modified the claim PDF's and emailed it. Instant response. After that it was a few days before the check was in the mail. I appreciate your quick response and the detailed invoice.

Pleasantly surprised!

My newly adopted Beagle Gracie ate "something" while she was being "watched" by a friend. For four nights she was sick with diarrhea, but she was still eating. On the fifth day she would not eat and seemed to be really lethargic. I brought her to our vet and he gave her some medicine and a shot. A few hours later, she still hadn't eaten and seemed really really lethargic and wasn't drinking water either. I returned to my vet and he took an x-ray and thought that perhaps she might need some type of surgery to remove whatever appeared to be in her stomach. I was advised to bring my sweet girl to an Emergency Hospital that my vet recommended because my vets office perhaps could have done further testings, surgery, but they do not have overnight staff and they did not recommend that she stay there. My little Beagle was at the Emergency Hospital for two nights. I was very upset and concerned because we were not sure if she needed surgery or not at the time of admittance. Luckily she did not need surgery and they kept her on IV and rest for those two days and nights. As you can imagine, the bill for the Emergency Hospital was very steep but what can you do when your pet is sick, you have to take care of them. This was our first experience/claim with a Pet Insurance Company and we were so happy that we had decided to participate in their program. Everyone I spoke to or emailed was very helpful and kind. This was a very traumatic situation for us because we were not sure e

Better than Human Insurance!

We just spent close to 10g's on emergency surgery for our 12yr old dog. 8 months earlier a friend recommended Trupanion pet insurance. I'd heard plenty of stories about pet insurance, so I bought it for $52/month with VERY low expectations of reimbursement if something actually went wrong. But, much to my surprise, this company has been AMAZING. The checks have been coming in, and it looks as if after the $1000 deductible we're getting 90% back. Why can't human insurance work this way? Anyway, it's a great company and I'm a client for life.

How Fortunate We Were to Have Had Embrace ....

I have had three of my four dogs covered for a good many years with Embrace Pet Insurance, and thankfully, no claims. The fourth dog--a little mixed breed-Chi-Weenie-I had carried the insurance for the first three months after we had adopted her that was provided as part of her adoption package, but then because it was a different insurance company and IA was in the middle of a year with Embrace's coverage of my other dogs, I couldn't make up my mind what to do, and so did nothing for a long while--seve4ral years. There's always been a question in my mind, and many "money experts" question whether the costs to carry insurance on animals is worth the continued yearly outlay, if you don't have claims. This past April, right before my husband and I were going to go on a vacation, I thought, since we're boarding all four of our dogs again, and though I trust the facility...what if something happened while we were out of state, and the boarding facility folks had to make the initial decisions about treatment for us. So, I added Rita in April to our insurance coverage with Embrace. Nothing happened during the week's boarding period. Just a few weeks ago, in June, I noticed that Rita just didn't seem "right." She just looked off, wasn't eating as heartily as she normally did, spent a lot of time by herself sleeping. Since she was almost at the time for her yearly "well dog" check, we went ahead and took her in for her check-up a few days early. We shared with the
