Pleased with follow-up and claims
I am quite please with their follow up and claims processing. I do have a question as to how the deductible is applied but I have not yet contacted Trupanion about this. Also do not know why cost of follow-up office visits to vet for covered condition seem to deducted from reimbursements.

Pet illness is bad enough....
But it is worse when you are trying to juggle finances to pay for them. Thankfully, Embrace Pet Insuranced processed my claim quickly, helping to releve the financial stress.Thank you Embrace!

Worth every penny
My cat has a hyperactive thyroid which didn't present itself until he had a seizure. Of course, the seizure landed him in an emergency veterinarian facility (it was a Sunday night) where he had to undergo numerous tests (to determine what was wrong) and be put in an oxygen cubicle because he was hyperventilating. Thank god I had the foresight to get ASPCA pet insurance for him and my other cats years ago. This was the first time I had to use it for any of them, and I'm so thankful for it!

Excellent!!
I have used the Embrace policy for my pug's (Bamboo) mast cell tumors... without it I would never have been able to afford to get them removed. Now she is a happy, healthy pug free from cancer :) The claims process was easy, and I got paid in time to pay my credit card :D Great policy - they have excellent customer service. I love them so much I set up pet insurance through Embrace at my work :)

Good but not incredible
I had my dog diagnosed with lymphoma. She had two operations to remove enlarged lymph nodes. I found a place that had very good rates, a lot cheaper than the ASPCA itself (Bergh Hospital). Insurance technically pays 80% of reasonable costs, which means that they will pay 80% of what is determined to be the appropriate cost within your location. They ended up paying approximately 65% of my cost -- meaning that my costs were higher than the "reasonable". However I know that I paid very competitive prices, the same if not lower than the average in my area. The response time to claims is inconsistent, but overall a month after submitting the claim (if they didn't need the vet's records sent over). Sometimes it takes them too long to acknowledge they received the records (once, more than a month) Continuous care is an add-on for chronic illness. This covers illnesses that exceed one term. It is good but not so good: It pays a maximum lifetime and after that you're on your own because after that it is a pre-existing condition. I guess this will be the case with all the insurances, but it does limit what you get after one chronic disease is diagnosed. In a way, a dog like mine with cancer is likely to have complications that will not be covered because cancer is the ultimate cause, and then insurance becomes irrelevant... A question here says "would you recommend this company to other pet owners?" --- I think there may be better plans, certainly, but considering that
