Spot Pet Insurance has a 14 day waiting period between the time you purchase the insurance and when you can actually use it. If this was mentioned up front I would NOT have signed up. Since my pet had an appointment in the waiting period it's going to be considered a "pre-existing" condition. I would have to wait 180 days to see if it would even be covered because of this. Pardon my French but this is completely BS. They thankfully will be refunding me my initial payment for signing up but now I'm out $360 for a rule that they were not transparent about. New pet owners, DO NOT GET SPOT!

Fast and easy
Signing up for Trupanion was simple and fast. From when my call was answered to the moment we said goodbye, it was 15 minutes. The person I spoke to was friendly, informative, and efficient. He laid out my options and gave me some great advice on which policies were the most popular and offered the most bang for my buck. It's nice to know my new kitten will be protected in the event he gets himself into a pickle (quite likely, given he's just a kitten).

Every time my dog needs to go to the vet for illness or check up I never have to worry. I just pay for it get a receipt and se d on to spot, I usually have my money back in three days. I have chosen 80/20 monthly cost is reasonable. I am so glad I find a good pet insurance for my dog.

After taking a full day to get quotes and read reviews we settled on Embrace for our insurance needs. Seven short months and zero claims later we received a "friendly reminder" letter that our premiums were nearly doubling! Obviously we canceled but what caught my attention was when the agent asked me "well is there a middle ground here"? I said "So are you offering to lower the price now that I have called"? I said, "The only way a price goes up like this is if it is a "bait and switch" or poor business management and we want neither." BEWARE
