Very Slow Response Time
When I signed up for Trupanion, I was told it takes 48 hours to receive claims. I have emailed my claims every time, and they don't mark them received for over a week. Their excuse in the beginning was that it's summer and they have a lot of claims they are backed up on, now it's fall and they say they have a lot of emailed claims to go through. It's been over 3 weeks and my claim still has not been processed. And I was told that you do not need a new claim form if it's for the same condition, if it has been claimed before, and every time I turn in a receipt for the same condition, they end up faxing a new claim form for my vet to fill out again. Tons of paperwork to keep up with. I am lucky my vet is so great and always willing to help me get some money back.

Follow Up
We joined Embrace 6 months ago. Since then we have been fortunate not to have had any major issues with our Yellow Lab Cooper. We have submitted wellness receipts and the follow up and speed of processing has been exceptional. Keep up the good work!

Best Decision we have ever made!
This was the best decision that we have ever made! We purchased this insurance when our dog was 3 months old. Who would have thought at 17 months old that she would need surgery to repair a torn ACL on her left knee. She fell on some stairs. When the vet indicated that the cost of the surgery would between $3000 and $4000 dollars. It was reassuring to know that we could get her the surgery and that she wouldn't have to suffer a life time of pain because we couldn't afford it. We were only responsible for $100 deductible and 10% of the actual cost of the surgery. Following her surgery I submitted the claim forms and had the reimbursement check in less than a week. I had a lot of questions and they were so wonderful and caring. We did a lot of research in the different insurance companies before choosing Health Paws, and I am so glad we made the right decision. I have even recommended Health Paws to the animal hospital for other interested pet parents!

Simple Process
I'm not sure how anyone could complain about the Wellness! You get back EXACTLY what you put in! What's there to complain about there. I've had several different policies on my pets over the years but have been with Embrace for a few years now. Hands down - they are the BEST. Easiest claim process, quick reimbursements. So good that I became and affiliate and made $100 last month! Keep up the great work Embrace!

Off to a Good Start
Thus far I've been impressed with Embrace's response and correspondence. I get real humans when I call, nice ones at that. Additionally, I'm kept informed about claims status...submissions, reviews, and payments. It's a nice system and it makes me feel as if I've really got a partner for my dog's healthcare.

Embrace is better than my health insurance
I swear my cat gets better health care insurance than me. Embrace has a clear cut policy that is easy to understand. Their customer service is outstanding. My cat was chosen as an Embrace Pet of the Week. I have nothing but great things to say about them. Well worth the money!!!

Agree with all comments made by others, how they request records over and over and try to find a reason not to pay you even when your vet will state something is not pre-existing. They paid for a so called "pre-existing condition last year" and now they don't. But don't go to their website and try to find anything - their claims page is an ABSOLUTE joke. The costs have gone up every year. We'd all be better off if we set aside a little money for our pets to use to pay the bills. Then we could invest it and not them. Like everything else, it is all about the money. By the way, I have pets insured with Trupanion (I will be discontinuing the policies and/or changing to other companies for at least 4 of them). For 5 pets, I pay them over $2,500 a year, and they denied me about $200 on a recent claim because it was pre-existing". Also, save every piece of paperwork from them and your vet, and we'll have tpo start blogging about the correct terminology to be used. Vets don't know - insurance is still new to them, too. If the vet submits the right code (an honest code), you get paid.

I feel this company has betrayed me and my pet.
I have had this insurance for 11 years and have not sent any claims until last year and only a few. After being insured with you her whole life when she is treated for one thing, she is no longer insured for that one ailment. Being insured all these years with you has prevented me from having real insurance coverage on my pet now when I need it. So as long as I paid the premium with no claims you take my money but when I need the coverage you drop her from the coverage she needs. Now at her age it is hard to find another insurance but I will. I sure wish I had been insured with another company all these past years.

I've used Healthy Paws with more than one pet and have recommended them to everyone who will listen. Service is prompt and courteous, claims could not be easier to file and reimbursement is very fast - usually within 3 days of filing the claim. Communication from the company is ongoing and they truly care about my pets. They are so easy to work with and my vet loves them, too. I could not be more pleased!
