Great Customer Service
Spot is so on point. As soon as the claim has been submitted, resolution is provided within 2 to 3 days and sometimes less. In these days of rising health costs for us and even our pets it is really unmanageable without companies such as Spot providing great customer service and timely claims resolution. Thank you Spot

Look elsewhere, 3 years a client and leaving.
I have used them since the arrival of my puppy and have kept them for 3 years. The first 2 years, they were great. He has issues with bloody diarrhea and vomiting and they covered about 50% which was about $2.5G (I had the most expensive coverage). This last year, they have not reimbursed me for much. When I appealed, they stated that because my dog had an ear infection - all my claims are related to this pre-existing condition. The same condition he had the prior 2 years when they covered a good portion of his vet bills. I knew something was up when they periodically kept requesting his complete medical history even though he was their client since day one and they have copies of all appointment notes. Save the $100/month cost and find another insurer

Pets best math is not normal people…
Pets best math is not normal people math 1000 deductible pay 70% of the bill They do not pay for the exam fee My bill 2030.35 Exam fee 195 Less 1000 copay Left me with a 70% payment from pets best of 284.73 They do the math as 2030.35-195 then take 70% of that rather than 2030.35 -1195 so $300 difference on what I believed they would pay. Very disappointing.

Preventive Care - Rabies Vaccine Denied - UPDATED
I purchased the Preventive Care Gold plan which documents that an annual rabies vaccination will be reimbursed up to $20 annually. They "denied" my reimbursement, stating that the rabies vaccine that my cat received this January was "not" a rabies vaccine, even though I have an invoice from my vet with "rabies vaccine" on the invoice. I won't renew my policy, as it expires in early March anyway. I don't have time to deal with absurdity. 02/03/2025 Update. Spot Pet Insurance emailed me to verify that I had an actual claim number which I provided. After review, their response was to stand by their denial. 02/03/2025 Update 2. I received a phone call from Spot Pet Insurance to tell me that my initial claim was valid, that they had incorrectly processed the rabies vaccine, and that I would be receiving the benefit of the $20 reimbursement. Will update again when the funds are received. 02/11/2025 Update 3. I did finally receive the $20 benefit for my cat's rabies vaccine from the Preventive Care Gold plan. It took this review, an email, 2 phone calls, and 2 weeks and 2 days. Review changed from 1 star to 3 stars, because they did correct their mistake.
