We really like Pets Best

We really like Pets Best - our dog is almost 5 and we've had her insured through them since she was about 6 months old. The only time they have ever turned down a claim is because I forgot to include a receipt showing we'd paid! The peace of mind knowing that we can take our problematic doodle to the vet when needed and not worry about the cost is worth the monthly fee we pay.

I had issues submitting my first claims for my fur babies, but after finding out what a full medical report was, I never had any issues after that. This insurance has been so awesome to have. I no longer have to worry about taking my babies to the vet and stressing about what its going to cost or trying to negotiate what should be done and what I can't afford to do. Excellent Customer Service

Interaction with the Embrace rep was excellent. After shopping several other insurance companies I got the best explanation of benefits from Embrace. Also it was the only company that offered additional discount to military vets.

We've been using Trupanion for 12…

We've been using Trupanion for 12 years. So far every time we've submitted a claim it was reviewed quickly and approved. It's been well worth it

On November 1st

On November 1st, I took my cat to Urgent Care and I had inquired about Spot insurance that day. I was informed there would be a $500 deductible and it was $50 a month, so I agreed. For the next month and a half, I was taking my cat to the vet and was communication with Spot. They told me to submit the claims and that I should be expecting payment reimbursements soon. My cat unfortunately had to be put down, and I had to close out with Spot, and they reassured me that I can continue to submit the claims for reimbursement. A month goes by and I receive nothing, so I called them. They then told me that because my cat was taken to the hospital for coughing before I signed up with Spot that they would not cover anything. First off, I signed up the day of, not after.. second, I was not made aware of that policy and had I known, I would have been much more diligent in where I would have taken him. So instead of them doing their job, they did not communicate that part of the policy to me, took my money and I ended up with nothing.
