Will not pay if they can figure out way not to.
My dog went to the vet almost 2 years ago with lameness in one leg - nothing on xrays. Was given medication and better in a day (not even the primary reason for the vet visit). He recently had surgery for an ACL and MCL tear. They declined payment stating what he had was pre-existing and tied to the visit 2 yrs ago. No incidents in between. Tell me how a dog that weighs over a 100 lbs could of gone so long in between the with even a slight tear - very active and rough. They told me I would need to figure out a way to prove the two incidents were not related...I asked how did they prove they were. One sentence on my dogs medical notes cost me $4200.

Best coverage and great service!
After several very pricey vet visits with my chihuahua pup, I decided to take out an Embrace policy upon recommendation from a friend. I did a lot of research on the various policies, and ended up going with Embrace because it was BY FAR the best price for coverage of breed-specific conditions. I was shocked that I could pay a premium at other pet insurance companies, yet if my Chi is ever struck with a collapsed trachea, eye infection, or luxating patella, it wasn't covered unless I paid $20 more a month! With Embrace EVERYTHING is covered, and the wellness policy is very reasonable! Great customer service, fast and personal responses from everyone at Embrace, and my first claim was processed in less than a week. Couldn't be happier with my choice!

Excellent product
My cat has a pre-existing condition which is of course not covered. Trupanion did not in the slightest nickel and dime me with exclusions for the two other conditions he developed after getting insured. They were very fair and ethical.

I'm so disappointed in Embrace Pet Insurance
Today I received two emails from Embrace. One saying that they are happy to have reviewed my appeal on my dog and they are going to pay me the $168.00 claim. The other email was to inform me that after reviewing the same appeal the are sorry but they can not over turn there decision to declines $16,500.00 claim since Underwritting does not believe my Vet's professional opinion is proof enough that my dogs diabetes is NOT from a prior diagnosis of pancreatitis. They put my pets well being first but not in this case. They have paid out claims before regarding this but not anymore. So should I let my pet die next time I need to go to the ER? Or will they denye gain. I waiting to hear back on this for the THIRD time. Sjame on Embrace.

I had purchased my puppies insurance policy with embrace, by chance, she broke her tooth within the first couple weeks of coverage. The embrace process was seemless, and I will be a customer for the life of my dog. Good job Embrace!!!

Excellent would definitely recomend Healthy Paws
I have never had pet insurance before, but when I adopted two Weimaraner puppies I decided to get some. After quite a bit of research I decided on Healthy Paws. A few weeks ago I had to make my first claim. One evening when I arrived home from work, Helmut had a laceration on his side, no doubt caused by his brother in some way. It was not bleeding and was about the size of a fifty cent piece. Before I took him to vet, I went on-line to the Healthy Paws web site and printed out a personalized claim form for Helmut, it was so easy. The Vet decided he needed five or six stitches. He is not the best of patients, so he had to be sedated, just a local would not work. When I picked him up later the office staff faxed all the necessary forms to Healthy Paws. Unfortunately he managed to pull out two stitches overnight, so we made a trip to the emergency vet for more stitches. They filled out his personalized claim form and I faxed it and the itemized bill. Within two days I had an e-mail from Healthy Paws saying the claims were being processed. I received my reimbursements within seven to ten working days. I could not be happier with the service.
