Plural asperated pneumonia
On November 23, 2013 at 2:30am Bulldozer our 7 month old Rottweiler vomited in his crate. We got up with him cleaned his crate and didn't put him back in it that night. By 5:30am my husband woke me up and said the puppy didn't seem well. We took him to the care centre in Calgary we weren't sure at that point if it had been something he ate as he eats anything and everything. By the evening of November 23 they had diagnosed him with aspirated pneumonia his lungs were a mess the X-ray showed them both to be almost completely white they inserted chest tubes in both sides by the Sunday night it looked like we may lose him he did make it through the night at which point the Doctors still were not sure how he would be or if he was strong enough to survive. The staff at the care centre were amazing his primary physician is Dr. Lisa Shearer who has been amazing. Trupanion approved his treatment it has been over $40,000 so far without the trupanion and the amazing staff we would have had to put our Bulldozer to sleep. He is home now and still on antibiotics which he will be for awhile and his care is on going.

Disappointing
A hassle to submit a claim - in this day and age who ever heard of havong to fax a claim? First claim took very long to process. Kitten vomiting was considered a "preexisting condition" and not covered. Canceling my policy

Imsurance for 9 week old puppy
It's been about a year and half since I got my 9 week old Labradoodle and I signed up for Trupanion right away. At first I wasn't sure about insurance but thought I wouldn't want money to be the reason why I couldn't help him if he needed it. I went with Trupanion because of their flexibility and their coverage options. When my dog was nearly 4 months old we found out that he had a growth problem and a few months later we found out he had hip dysplasia. We got him from an excellent breeder and as much as we thought he would be healthy you never know with mother nature. Words can't describe the support we have received from Trupanion and what they have provided my dog. They have been very cooperative with me and my vet's office and I know that today my dog is living the best life and I know that he will continue to have that support for the rest of his life.

Trupanion made it happen!
My buddy Tino tore a ligament in his knee,...the surgery would cost about $4000, money that i dont have. As much as the vet resisted accepting receiving payment directly from Trupanion through their Claims Express, the Trupanion reps made every effort to assure them they would receive payment and convinced the vet to take it and go ahead with the procedure! Thanks to Trupanion Tino is on the road to recovery!

Great Support for my dog!
We have had ASPCA pet insurance from the first day our puppy came home and it has been great. Each time we needed to have expensive and extensive care for her we would file our claim and within a couple of weeks our insurance had processed the claim and sent the reimbursement check - great service and support for our Bobbin!

100% Satisified
I have 2 greyhounds that play hard and love running. Recently one received a dog bite from another dog. I went to the vet, of course it was on a Sunday, he had some stitches and is fine. The bill totaled $545. Today I found out that Pets Best Insurance is sending me $410 (my bill minus 10% and my $100 deductible). Best Pets offers an accident only insurance for a few dollars a month. What a deal and what a company. I recommend without hesitation.

Horrible mistake of a company
This company takes a long time to process claims then do all they can to not pay them. Our pet was cryptorchid (testicles did not drop). The vet said they had to go in and remove them or it could cause cancer. It was a complicated surgery but they found them and my dog is fine now. Trupanion refused the claim saying it was just spay/neuter and they don't cover that. The fact that it cost much more than spay/neuter due to the complicated surgery didn't matter to them. They also turned down a claim to an emergency vet for an injured foot because it was an 'exam'. It would be hard for them to determine what was injured without the exam. I then tried to cancel and they won't even do that. They say someone will have to call me back but , you guessed it, they have not called back. Save your money and avoid this company at all cost!

excellent customer service
Healthy Paws has been an excellent insurance provider for my furry family members. They have paid out quickly, checked in with phone calls and emails as to my pets' recoveries and returned my calls and emails in a prompt fashion. I highly recommend this company.
