Be careful with Teeth Claims
Beware... even though the policy specifically states,"Gingivitis and progressive periodontal disease caused by the accumulation of tartar is not a covered expense", if your pet has teeth issues NOT caused by tartar, but rather than by maloclusion, they are trying to get out of paying, refering the above exemption. My Vet is working on an appeal for me. I saw the claim that my vet submitted and it is clearly stated. They also referred to my dog's "tooth extractions". Now where on the claim was this meantioned. He still has all his teeth for now.

cheap on repayment of well care
embrace ins is very cheap when comes to paying for wellness claims. Charges are high when purchased at vet's yet embrace only covers $200.00!

ACL surgery
My little girl had a tear in her left hind acl. Trupanion quickly accepted the claim. I was reimbursed all but my 10% copay within a week after her surgery. In all they covered $3300. Thank you Trupanion.

Quick Claims
Embrace has been very helpful and quick with their claims. They even contacted my vet to help expedite the process. The only issue I do have is that I can never contact them via phone and reach a customer service rep. So far I had only had to file claims for the wellness program, but they are quick to file the claim and send out reimbursement.

I have had many pets over the year, and paid huge bill when something went wrong. When I got a new puppy in July, I took advantage of a month of Trupanion from my vet. Within two weeks the pup had worms, and Trupanion paid 90% without batting an eye. I was sold, and continied the coverage. I also insured my six year old cat. After New years, my dog became very ill. He require multiple x-rays and Ultra sounds. Trupanion paid quickly, and even called to see how he was doing. I'm a fan!

The only negative thing that i can say is that I didn't realize that they don't pay exam fees, even if it's for a sick visit. That being said, I was very happy with the service and plan coverage from Trupanion. I am just thankful that I didn't have a plan with a deductible otherwise I would not have gotten back that much. Trupanion does seem to be a service minded company and any time I have called with questions they have been very helpful. They were great at staying in touch with us via email to let us know that our claim was being processed and even did direct deposit of the claim money to our checking account. Getting 90% back is a relief.

One bad Knee all better
My two + year old Newfee Required Surgery after she blew her knee. And the day after the procedure I filed my first Claim including Claims for all the pre op x-rays and vet visits. I didn't know what to expect... I thought there might be a number of excuses or reasons certain things wouldn't be covered. I couldn't be more wrong. Everything was paid according to my policy with no hassle. I was reimbursed within 10 days. I hope my dog doesn't need more surgeries, but I no longer stress about it. Thanks Healthy Paws
