Excellent Experience
This is a copy of an email I sent directly to VetInsurance: I am almost two years late writing this email, but I hope better late than never! Our dog, Maverick, experienced a very sudden illness in December of 2011 and had to be hospitalized at the Atlantic Veterinary College in Prince Edward Island. We live in Halifax and had to leave him there and return home as it was Christmas time and we have four children. Maverick received incredible care while at the AVC; however, it was extremely expensive. During the time that we were making decisions on his case, I trusted that the policy we had for pet insurance through Trupanion (VetInsurance) was true to its word that there was no limit per condition. After a three week stay and a $15,000+ bill, we unfortunately lost Maverick to a cardiac arrest. It was devastating to our family. Once we got over the shock and sadness of losing him, I had to sit down and deal with the financial end of things. I was so absolutely relieved when I submitted my claim to Trupanion and they responded with an approval - no hassles or delays. During what was an extremely stressful time for us, both emotionally and financially, Trupanion put my mind to rest on the financial side of things right away. In particular, Brooke Pickett, if she is still there, was the person who helped me and she was wonderful. She was compassionate and caring and swift in her replies and action on our account. Healthy Paws Insurance is worth every penny!
Healthy Paws Insurance is worth every penny! Our dog recently needed emergancy surgery and knowing that the surgery would be covered helped us focus on getting our dog back to good health and not worrying about how we would be able to cover the costly $3500 vet bill. The staff was compassionate and completed the claim process promptly. The claim process is simple and the reimbursement check arrived within a couple days. The hospital staff also mentioned how convenient and affordable Healthy Paws is compared to other insurance companies they've dealt with. I recommend this insurance to anyone who wants the security of knowing they will be able to provide the best treatment for their pet if they should ever get hurt of ill.

Very Grateful for Healthy Paws
I am so so so happy I chose Healthy Paws. I've never encountered better customer service. Perhaps more importantly, Healthy Paws has followed through 100% on all that is promised in our plan. We insure both of our dogs, and through an unlucky run they've both needed a lot of medical help recently... starting only weeks after we signed up. One dog seems injury prone and the other has what is apparently an autoimmune condition that is causing her ACL's to deteriorate. We took her in a few weeks after we signed up for what we thought was a sprain in one of her legs. It turned out one ACL was gone and the other on its way out. The treatment requires two expensive surgeries. We've already completed one surgery and we'll be taking her back in for the other soon. All through this, Healthy Paws has been completely reliable, easy to work with, unbelievably prompt (e.g. I submitted one bill at 11 p.m. and I'd received an approval by the next morning), and caring. After they found out she had surgery, Healthy Paws sent me an email checking up on her. I assumed it was a computer generated email (perhaps it was), but I thanked them anyway for their concern and within a day I got a second, definitely not computer-generated, email about her well-being. Both applying for insurance and submitting claims is easy. The general tone from Healthy Paws has consistently been one of trust and concern. Healthy Paws exceeds all my expectations
My 7 month old Labrador Retriever was recently diagnosed with a very serious orthopedic problem that required surgery. From the diagnostics through surgery Healthy Paws was with us every step of the way. Each claim was processed quickly and a check arrived within days. The coverage through Healthy Paws is above average. Along with timely payment I've received personal messages from the staff checking on my dog and his recovery. I've used other Pet Insurance carriers in the past and none compare to Healthy Paws. I rate them a 10 because choosing 11 was not an option.

Excellant claim handling
I have owned 6 wonderful dogs over the last 30 years, yet never believed in the need for pet insurance. A few months ago my 6 year old dog Spanky suddenly developed pancreatitis along with raised crusted lesions all over her body. After seeing her vet and then a vet dermatologist for a biopsy, and spending over $1,000.00 she is back to normal. But we still have no idea what caused this sudden illness!! Veterinary medicine has come a long way over the years, but it sure is costly. I am retired and a vet bill like that sure hurts. I researched and insured my 1yr old dog Honey with Healthy Paws. A small monthly payment is so much easier to handle, then a huge immediate bill. After making my 2nd monthly payment, Honey suddenly had 6 seizures in 1 hour. After all the testing, an overnight hospital stay, and medication...she is fine but the bill was over $1,200.00. The reimbursement was quick and the majority of the bill was paid! I sure wish I had this insurance for my other dogs.

Our bullmastiff has been scratching alot and has some small bumps all over him. We took him to the vet and he has some allergies which they prescribed antibiotics and a steriod. Embrace took care of the vet and med's.

Very easy and fast claim processing
My dog Deucalion hurt his leg while playing with his children friends. After xrays and an exam was diagnosed as being soft tissue damage. Bascially manage pain and time to allow the tissue, tendons and ligaments to heal. I submitted my claim and it was processed and payment received within a couple weeks. Deucalion is still healing and will take a few more weeks but his insurance has made it all much easier knowing I could seek treatment and not suffer financially trying to cover his bills.
