Exceptional service and kindness!
My dog, Daisy, broke her leg on Easter while we were visiting family. We spent several hours in an emergency clinic, returned home Monday, saw her vet on Tuesday and she had surgery on Wednesday. The first two claims were approved by Friday. I received checks for her emergency care and first trip to her vet several days later. My claim for her surgical treatment and hospitalization were approved the day after she was released from the hospital. I cannot say enough good things about this company. They went above and beyond with their service and kindness. This was a large claim ($4000+) and we have only been with Healthy Paws for eight months but we were treated like family members. I have never posted an online review. I guess I thought my time was too valuable. But, for Healthy Paws I have made an exception because they have been exceptional. The online enrollment was easy, the deductible and monthly payment extremely reasonable (and affordable) and the service spectacular.

The coverage options and policy terms really take into account the needs of the pets and claims process is designed to be as painless as possible. Claim processing times typically take only a couple of days!

Disappointing and not worth the money.
I got VPI INSURANCE WHEN I adooted my sweet dog at age 1. She's 9 now and she's great but this insurance is terrible. My dog has had several bouts if pancreatitis so unfortunately I've had need of my insurance. I didn't read the fine print and there wasn't much competition when I got VPI insurance. They don't pay a percentage of your actual bill. They pay a percentage of what THEY DECIDE your bill should be, even if no vet in your area charges that little. The ACTUAL reimbursement I've gotten is closer to 20% , nowhere near the 80% I thought I signed up for. They do pay and they're friendly and they send my dog a birthday card. But financially VPI was a terrible choice.

Fantastic Service!
Once received (I did have an issue with my email not going through but Sally helped me out on the phone and I emailed to her instead of the general claims email address), the claim was processed promptly and a check is on it's way! Very pleased.

Just laid off so money is a concern. Took my dog in to have a skin growth remover - $500+; but Trupanion pick up 90% of tab - all done on-line, not out of pocket for anything other than the $68!
