Excellent service
I have paid into the insurance for a year and a half and I hoped to never need it but when my dog woke up limping one morning I was very worried, took her to the vet and of course they had to X-ray her and investigate the cause, there were a couple of issues but fortunately it was nothing serious, she had actually injured her paw pad, but after the expense of the visit I was very happy that I had insurance and could rest assure that whatever the issue was, my little baby was covered and would be safe. For a first time experience having to make a claim, Trupanion actually paid me my money much faster than even they initially said it would take for a first time claim since they had to get her medical records which is something they only have to do once, with your first claim. I received the exact amount, covering her meds, her X-rays and everything except the visit, which I already knew was not covered. The service was excellent and I would recommend this company to all my friends! Thanks Trupanion, for doing what you promise you will in times of need!

COLE IS A 13 YEAR OLD DOMESTIC LONG HAIR THAT DEVELOPED HEMOBARTONELLA IN MARCH OF 2011 HIS CLAMS HAVE BEEN PAID PROMPT AND WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS. I WOULD ADVISE ANYONE TO PURCHASE THIS INSURANCE

Embrace was recommended to me by a food friend of mine, who is also a vet. I have been very impressed with Embrace, mostly because I deal with actual people who email me with explanations. If I email back with a question, they answer it. Real people, not departments, not passing the buck, not a telephone service with prompts. What a novel idea!

Good, but one mistake
Good and quick service but there was an oversight when getting the claim that resulted in not getting compensated enough. However, it wads taken care of when brought to their attention.

The Best
My dog has been insured with Trupanion since May of 2011 and I have had to submit several claims since that time. I decided to go with the $0 deductible plan, as I really liked the idea of getting my vet costs almost completely reimbursed. I also purchased the endorsement which will cover hip dysplasia (for a nominal extra premium). The plan I chose to go with pays 90% of all covered expenses. The other company I had prior to Trupanion was woefully inadequate in paying out for much of anything and I ended up with huge costs that they just did not cover...plus,no illness/condition, etc. that was considered "hereditary" or "genetic" was covered by them either. Trupanion also states that they do not raise the insurance premiums as the pet ages (with minor exceptions). The service I have received has been prompt and absolutely more than satisfactory. I have recommended Trupanion to many people who have dogs and cats. Choosing Trupanion was the best decision I ever made for my Golden Retriever.
