Nothing But A Scam
One of the most scamming and unethical insurance companies I've ever had the displeasure to work with. The first claim I make, a small claims under $300, they keep telling me I'm fine and I'll be covered. I decided not to renew my coverage, so then I wait a month and keep following up on my claim, and then I finally get a phone call telling me my claim was denied because of some reason they literally just made up on the fly, saying I had to activate my insurance within 24 hours of adopting my dog but the shelter waited a few days to activate it. Because of this Trupanion claimed my coverage is null and void and that there's nothing I can do. They literally made up a reason to void claim because I decided not to continue my coverage way after I filed the claim, when they told me for a fact beforehand I'd be covered, and on a side note, they kept pressuring me and notifying me to renew my coverage. Worst insurance company, nothing but a huge scam, and they care nothing for your dog or their clients; the only thing that matters is their pocket and screwing their customers.

Get your pet insurance from healthy paws!
We have had healthy paws pet insurance shortly after we brought our golden retriever puppy home and we are so glad we enrolled! Our dog is now almost two years old and has visited the vet more than we ever anticipated. Each time we have had to have tests or get prescription drugs for him, healthy paws has covered the cost after the deductible and at the 80% level we selected. The smartphone app old to be easier to use and the response from healthy paws is fast (within a day or two) and we receive the reimbursement check within a week. We are completely satisfied with healthy paws and have recommended the company to our friends. So glad we chose them and will do it again with our next dog!

They will only reimburse 80% of what they deem an allowable charge for the service performed and not what was charged by the vet. Terrible!

Canceling my policy
We chose Embrace over other pet insurance plans because it offered the most comprehensive coverage. However, after having our dog's skin condition be denied coverage because of an ear infection she had as a 3-month-old rescue puppy, we see that loopholes will be invoked to avoid paying out claims. We chose to pay for the Wellness plan to avoid situations like this, and are very disappointed with the ruling on this illness.

Very fast processing time
I had to submit a claim for my dog after one year of chasing our tails trying to figure out why she was having recurring urinary tract infections. I agreed to have a vaginoscopy performed (cost was over $600.00) which uncovered the origin of all of her problems. Even better, I submitted all of my invoices for the past year and everything was covered! I was very happy with the incredibly fast processing time, I know for a fact that some other pet insurance companies have a 10 week processing time for claims, but I had cheque in-hand about a week after sending in my paperwork. Very impressed!
