THE BEST. DON'T KNOW WHAT I WOULD DO WITHOUT IT!
I don't usually write online reviews, but I was compelled to after the excellent customer service I received with Healthy Paws. Simply put, they have some of the best customer service I have ever encountered. I had been hesitant to purchase pet insurance as so many of my friends and colleagues told me "it wasn't worth it." I was still tossing around the idea of getting it when I came across other healthy paws reviews. They were so overwhelmingly positive, that I thought it would be worth it - and it certainly was. My puppy decided to eat the spiral binding of a notebook TWO days after the end of my waiting period. I was expecting to have to fight to get his procedure covered and was prepared to jump through hoops, but that was not the case. The people at Healthy Paws were helpful and encouraging and I felt like they were on my side (which says a lot about an insurance company!). My dog was initially scheduled to have an elective surgery, but started to decompensate on (of course) a Friday night. My primary vet had told me to take him into the emergency hospital, but to be prepared for a much higher bill. As a graduate student I was terrified and called Healthy Paws WAY after hours to see if the emergency surgery would be covered. A representative got back to me immediately and not only assured me that the procedure would be covered but talked me through what was a very difficult and stressful experience. Since his surgery, my puppy has had to go back to the emergency department several times, and Healthy Paws has continually been helpful and supportive. Apart from the customer service, the best thing about Healthy Paws is its convenience. As a medical student, I am really busy and the thought of photocopying and mailing in invoices is certainly not appealing. I love that you can literally snap a picture of the invoice with your iphone and file a claim while you are sitting in the waiting room. The turn around time is also incredibly impressive. All of my claims were processed within 48h. One claim was actually processed while I was still at the vet. Healthy Paws was faster at processing the claim than the vet was at getting my dog out to me... I know that a lot of people are skeptical about pet insurance, but Healthy Paws is worth every penny. I would recommend Healthy Paws to any pet owner. Because of Healthy Paws I did not have to choose between paying my rent/tuition and my puppy's health. I am eternally grateful for

I have had multiple experiences with Trupanion and each one makes me glad I have them for my pet insurance. One of dogs has had issues with lameness in his leg snd the x-rays and procedures were expensive and Trupanion promptly covered it and sent me a check in 3 days! I would definitely recommend this insurance.

Fantastic customer service
Well it all started with my English Cocker Spaniel - Penne deciding to eat one of the cat's toys. She ended up with a bowel obstruction and required emergency surgery late on a Monday night into Tuesday. She sailed through it all beautifully. I picked her up on Thursday and dropped by my vet's office on Friday to provide them with the information for filing my claim with Healthy Paws. They faxed the information and the next day I received an email from Healthy Paws telling me that my claim had been received and was being processed. The following day I received another e-mail telling me that my claim had been processed and approved. I received my check the following Tuesday 14 days after they received the necessary documentation. They even followed up with a very personal e-mail inquiring how Penne was doing after her "belly surgery". I can't say enough good things about this company and have been telling all of my pet owner friends about them. I had a different insurance company with my last dog and was not at all satisfied with them. I did a lot of research before deciding on Healthy Paws and am so happy with my decision.

Fast and reliable
Pepper is my second dog, this is my first time getting a pet insurance. He's insured by Turpanion 30 days trail and unlucky he's to use within the trail period because my wife give him wrong treat which make him diarrhea and vomiting and has to go to emergency. Claim is easy and fast what I need to do is send a photo of receipt to Turpanion claim email, within 1-2 days I've got reply and get money back within a week. Unfortunately I've to use it again because Pepper jump and broke his front left leg, I sent the receipt to Turpanion again as usual it's fast. I highly recommend Turpanion, not just fast and their representatives are nice and helpful, also wait time is less than 5 mins.

Kind and reliable.
All of the claims I have submitted have been handled quickly and fairly. They have paid what they said they would pay. When one of my dogs died, someone from their management called to see how we were doing. I thought that was very kind of her. She allowed me to share my grief over my lost pet.
