Great way to save and pre plan for expenses

I submitted my claim for wellness care and within days was approved and notified that my reimbursement was on it's way. They even encourage direct deposit of the refund.

Worth it!!

I enrolled Cannoli my 9 year-old Siamese-- really without any reason to-- his health was 100% perfect. Five months after enrollment, I felt a weird little lump while grooming him. Long story short, he had a mast cell tumor and had to have surgery. He's doing great now! I wish I had not set the deductible so high just to save truly a FEW dollars each month..Trupanion does not cover the exam fees, so I had to pay the $650 deductible and exam fees. Those items plus the surgery came to $1999 (which really isn't bad!); Trupanion reimbursed 90%, which all told came to a bit over half of the total. Still great! Just wish I'd set a lower deducible. I recommend really doing the math when you are deciding on your deductible. Oh- and I got the check before the stitches were out!!

Peace of Mind

I come from a family of people who have always believed in insurance. It was a no brainer to get put insurance on my golden retriever when she was three months old for those just in case situations. When she got very sick a few weeks, it was great not to have to make decisions based on money. Maddison is part of my family and I never want to have worry about whether or not I can afford to take care of her. Thank you to Trupanion for making it easy.

Embrace Pet Ins is a must have for all pet owners!

My silky terrier recently has had two fairly serious procedures, knee surgery and removal of a cyst. Both times embrace processed my claim quickly and covered the vet expenses as outlined in the insurance plan (80%). I highly recommend them to all pet owners who would spend whatever was necessary to heal their pet.

Great Service

I went to have routine wellness care for my 4 yr old Pharaoh hound mix, Max, and after submitting my claim, Embrace got back to me within a few hours! They were great in communicating everything I needed and how the process worked. I feel as though I was treated like an actual person with a real pet, unlike most insurance companies where you are just a policy number to them. I appreciate their help and anticipate great service in the future!

Wow, couldn't have been easier!

After non stop vomiting, x-rays showed that my 5 month husky had swallowed a toy. Yes, a toy. Due to the size of the toy, we were not quite sure as to how he managed to swallow the object without choking. Anyhow, the vet informed us that this object would cause major harm/death if our puppy tried to pass the object through his intestinal track. So, without any other options our puppy needed surgery to remove this toy from his stomach. As if that were not hard enough on our family, the cost of the surgery was an additional issue. Thank God we had insurance. There were many pet insurance companies out there but after reading several customer reviews, I was sold on Healthy Paws. As an owner, you don't expect to have to actually use the insurance, especially for a puppy but Healthy Paws could not have made this transactions any easier. It was simple, all I was requested to do was to send in his medical history and the invoice for his surgery. It couldn't have been more than 72 hours before I received an email informing me that my puppies claim was in process. As a consumer you think, "Ok it cant be that easy. Let's see what excuses they try and come up with to deny my claim." Wow, was I wrong. Less than 5 days later I received another email notifying me that my claim was complete/approved and I would be receiving my 90% reimbursement for my out of pocket cost (I chose the 90% reimbursement with a $100 deductible. Shortly after, I received a check. That was it, yes that simple. This process took less than 2 weeks!! No doubt Healthy Paws is a AAA+++ company. Thanks again Healthy Paws!

This was the first direct billing that my Vet had done. The original estimate was between $1300.00 - $2000.00.It included a blood test to make sure that there would be no complications with our Morkie and the anesthetic. This was approved by Trupanion. The blood test showed a little bit of an elevation in regard to the liver. So the Dr.did a bile acid test to ensure there would be no complications during the PL surgery because of this. The bile acid test was not on the original estimate of procedures. We were charged $65.80 as a separate bill (or 2nd claim)with the understanding that if our dog has any problems with his liver $65.80 of our $300.00 deductible has already been paid. That is ridiculous! The vet took extra precautions to ensure that my dog would be alright during his PL operation. The high end total that was approved was $1841.43...the bill submitted with the $65.80 charge for the bile acid test was $1630.83.This was well within the approved perimeters and was associated with the PL problem in regard to the amount of anesthetic. Which may or may not of caused problems during the operation if the vet had not done his due diligence.REALLY! Now we have to remember for the next 12-15 years that we have a credit on our deductible...but only if it is a liver problem....if he ever even has this problem. Your policy needs a little leeway in some situations. If there had been complications it would of cost you more than $65.80! Client ID:15154 Invoice #:141026 Policy# TC0001569686
