12 week old puppy with kidney failure
I am still astonished at the service and coverage of Trupanion. I can't even begin to tell anyone how wonderful this coverage is!! Having a puppy get so sick and so early was stressful enough, let alone worrying about vet bills. Trupanion paid exactly what they describe! AMAZING service! Sign Up!

Avoid at all costs
The insurance wasn't really so bad, but when it came time for a big claim, they wouldn't pay. I called them specifically because I didn't think something would be covered and they assured me it would be. I filed all the claims and continued with all the vet visits and "oh by the way, we won't pay that... you should have read the fine print... and it isn't our fault that even though you specifically asked about it that we advised you incorrectly"...

We have 2 pups, and this was our first claim for either one of them, after an acute case of pancreatitis and a night spent at the emergency vet. The claims process could not have been made any easier, and the staff were extremely helpful when I called up with questions. We got most of our costs reimbursed, and there were no surprises in terms of what the insurance covered and what it did not cover, which is honestly a refreshing feeling in the insurance world.

This is the second claim I submit that has been timely and properly honored. The claim was processed directly with my vet. All I had to do was fill out a simple claim form and they took care of the rest so I could focus on our dog's rehabilitation.
