Healthy Paws The BEST PET INSURANCE, hands down.
My wife and I have a 2 1/2 year old Lab / Shepherd mix. Kira is a great dog and much beloved by my son, wife, and myself. Three weeks ago we were at a BBQ at a friends home. While we were out, Kira escaped from the yard. Several young guys were out front and tried to catch him. To him, this was a game so the race was on. Sadly, Kira became lost for a week. After a desperate search he was found, but with a badly broken leg. This was on a Sunday. The emergency vet recommended a specialist who was located two hours away in the San Francisco Bay Area. We loaded him up and off we went. Healthy Paws paid our claims within a few days, both the emergency vet and the Specialist. What's more amazing is that we had purchased insurance only three months prior. Healthy Paws is simply amazing.

Healthy Paws is the best Pet Health Insurance Co
We've had other Pet Health Ins and were never happy with their coverage's, their claim processes nor their attitudes. So, we switched to Healthy Paws a few years ago and what a joy.Recently, our Beloved Yorkie developed a cataract in her only good eye (the other eye suffers from "Dry Eye" and fragmented vision possibly due to an undetected earlier cataract). At this point, she was 100% blind. We had surgery performed by an outstanding Ophthalmologist on the eye that recently developed a cataract, which was 100% successful. Our little sweetheart can see again and woke up from surgery with her little tail wagging like crazy at the sight of seeing everyone! In the past, I've been reluctant to file claims with the Ins. Co., but this was too much. So, I filed numerous claims with Healthy Paws. Their claims process is the "Best". No forms involved, just send in the bills you've paid with the Policy No. written on them and they will reimburse you for covered services, etc. up to whatever your coverage level is and usually within 10 days. Now the icing on the cake ... they follow-up with you to see how your pet is doing. Obviously, the people at Healthy Paws really care about your pet. I've made a lot of bad mistakes in my lifetime. Thank God that switching to Healthy Paws Ins. wasn't one of them. I highly recommend Healthy Paws to all that have pets and want Health Ins. My only dissatisfaction is that the rating system only goes up to 10, because I want to give them a million.

Trupanion leads the pack
I am always astounded at the speed at which claims are handled. Trupanion not only reimburses me quickly, but staff communicate effectively from the moment the claim is received through processing. We are very pleased with the coverage our dog has received over the past seven years, especially for all the medications and tests needed to treat his chronic diseases.

Exceeding Expectations
We acquired a Portuguese Water Dog puppy in early June 2015. After doing my research we decided to sign up with Health Paws. Obviously we really hoped not to have to use pet insurance until many years into the future. Two Sundays ago whilst playing with another puppy our Marco tore his knee apart and requiring the services of an orthopedic surgeon and the total bill ended up close to $ 4000. I was truly amazed by the ease ( app+photo of the bill) with which the bill was submitted and the speed in which the bill was reviewed and approved. As importantly I was touched when a week or so after I received an e-mail from Health Paws wanting to know how young Marco was doing. I truly am grateful and delighted by the outstanding service we received and how true to their promises Healthy Paws delivered - two thumbs (paws) up!!

Hassle free coverage; they give what they promise
I have had Trupanion for ~ 8 months to cover my Great Dane. Given what I was going to pay for him and the various things he could be prone to, I felt like insurance was prudent. I did an absolute ton of research into all of the major companies. I weighed all of the pros/cons -- there's no one company that's perfect (example: I really wish Trupanion had some form of coverage for at least a portion of the exam), but for what I needed Trupanion seemed best. I was amazed at how for each and every company (to include Trupanion), there were reviews that said they were absolutely fantastic and others that said they'd rather lose their right arm than go with this company again. I can honestly say that thus far, my experience has been perfect. I have a zero deductible plan. I go to the vet and pay my bill. My vet submits the claim to Trupanion for me (the claim form takes about 10 seconds to fill out) and voila: a check for 90% of what's covered arrives in the mail. No hassles, questions, resubmissions or attempts to hide behind tricky language so as not to pay. I get an email to say they've received my claim and another that says the check's on the way. I've probably submitted 5-6 claims thus far and have yet to have a problem. I can honestly say I've been very satisfied. Even their phone people were nice when I called

Now, both my cats are senior citizens, and as such have developed some health issues, which Trupanion is helping with medication/supplements. The new Claim process is quick and efficient. To date, I am very pleased I chose Trupanion over the previous insurer I had. Trupanion tends to make things easier not harder and they are up front about what is covered and what is not. Other companies I dealt with used ambiguous language and you never were sure if you are covered or not. Kudos Trupanion.
